[Dark Stripey] Beware! Senjougahara nullifies loli-tendencies ~ MOAR BLACK needed!

I started on a bishoujo ranking post for Bakemonogatari and since the default blogging mode for such posts was the BLACK tanuki - Dark Stripey, the onii-crooning Sengoku Nadeko was supposed to rule the BakeMono bishoujos followed closely by a tie between loli-vamp Shinobu and grade-schooler Mayoi. However, I apparently haven't been 'stressed' enough by the threat of Mounties or Zyl's ambitions to publish his 4-komas titled - "The Legend of Stripey - the last loli-bender" for enough BLACK in me to resist the charms of the ancient-by-bishoujo-standards Senjougahara.

Trust me, my brethens-in-lolis bishoujos. I tried. Many times I have watched the lovely gate scene (ep 11) for hope that Nadeko, the megami of loliciousness personified, would summon sufficient BLACK for her to claim the bishoujo throne unopposed. Sadly for every Nadeko flirting-at-gates viewed, a Senjougahara confession scene (ep 5) would be recapped.. TWICE. For every Nadeko-in-bloomer-only (ep 9) seen, Senjouhara-fresh-out-of bath (ep 2) would be reviewed... extensively. Even in my favourite arc (Mayoi Snail), I found myself more psyched-up over the Senjougahara-Koyomi dialogue than the loli-wrestling. Indeed Senjougahara has been fearsome in quelling the loli-leanings that so plagued BLACK tanukis.

And so crushing is Senjougahara's charms that she abdicated Tessa from my favourite chararcter list on MAL. While the latest addition to my bishoujo favourites, she's certainly not the least. Thankfully, it was not a loli who was replaced even though forced abdication by the likes of Senjougahara should bring not shame but the highest honour in bishoujo realm... Ok 2nd highest honour. The highest belongs to Senjougahara securing a venerated spot in Stripey's bishoujo shrine.

I suppose all hope now rests on Shinobu to repel this over-age bishoujo wave, one that even the moe-est Nadeko and the kawaii KAWAII Mayoi failed to impede. Dark Stripey has waned for now but maybe Shinobu chan would bring back the merry days of Stripey sprouting his dark shima shima shipon.

Can't wait for the remaining webcast episodes to bring out the 100% Dark Stripey vampire!!
