Saki 23

Summary:
Momoko's stealth-enabled mini-rampage is dispelled by Saki's net mahjong mode and advances to 5th placing. Hisa reflects on her refusal, in her first and second years of high school, to join the individual tournaments and realizes that she is enjoying herself and wants to win. Likewise Kazue's South Wind runs out of air against Saki's lily-filled tsumo after a kan. Hisa manages to win big in the final hand of the tenth and even tougher session. But it's not enough to make the top three who will go to the national tournament; those three are Mihoko, Nodoka and Saki.
Reaction:
So Saki manages to make it too despite having to make up for her own reticence on the first day. The tournament shows that Saki is not invincible but she manages to overcome the obstacles placed in her way by experienced and skilled players like Hisa as well as other freaks of mahjong nature like Koromo and Kazue. Mainly because of Nodoka tsun tsun and dere dere. Which was the main thing that drew me into the series in the first place.
It's a little sad that my favourite couple, Yumi-chin x Momo, didn't do better but it's hard when Momo is basically, still, a one trick pony - she has yet to learn how to channel the power of her yuri love to power her mahjong mojo to greater heights!
