Apparently, Kadokawa ordered 6 endless episodes to be animated. When they showed it to their sponsors, they were understadably furious. As a scapegoat, Kadokawa fired one of their producers but by then it was already too late. Kyoani had already animated it. Discussions are still going on whether they should extend the number of episodes this season. I have the link of the rumor in my post at my site, check it out there if you'd like.
