K-ON 9
Azusa's reaction to the club largely mirrors my own reaction to this series. It's hardly a guilty pleasure but every time I was prepared to roll my eyes or turn up my nose at K-ON for the way it churns out moé tropes, it would hit me with something like:
I've not LOL'ed so hard for quite a while. I should have seen this coming from miles away but I was still caught off guard by how quickly the newcomer was sized up by the club advisor. I liked how the encounter played on common sense versus K-ON sense and how, as a viewer, I was 'in' on the latter type of non-common sense while dramatic irony reigned from the POV of the impending victim from Common Sense Land. The contrast of the purity and shyness in Azuna's thoughts with the casual nonchalance of Sawa-chan-sensei's assessment was delivered with perfect comic timing by both voice actresses.
At some point, Sawa-chan-sensei *must* sing Cosplay Angel!
Yuri Mugi vision helps too, I suppose.
In other news, given that I've never been a huge Mio fan (Yui FTW), it wasn't likely I'd purchase her headphones. Instead I've taken double's advice and gone for the ATH-ANC7.
So far, it's delivering a vastly superior listening experience over my ancient generic in-ear earphones. The price tag on the sets at Hung Brothers, Sim Lim Square, was SGD 325. After 'discount' it was SGD 299. Which was the exact same price offered by the Sprint-Cass electronics shops inside Changi Airport's T2 duty-free shopping arcade!

And agreed that this week’s Sawa-Sensei Moment was one for the books.
Random note: am I the only one who was reminded of those surreal drawings Miu kept coming up with in that one Ichigo Mashimaro ep when Ritsu whipped out that hand-drawn special effects pic…? Tells quite a lot about her personality and relationship with Mio that she *had* it too, though not much that wasn’t well known already. :3

You might bump the bass a tweeny bit if you want a stronger boom effect. Generally I up the frequencies abit from 20khz to 440khz.
