K-ON 7

The yuri is strong in this one...
...was what I initially thought re: Mugi's fascination with "girls bonding". I said, over at Dav's, that I didn't find her very slashable with any of the other girls and perhaps another chara would be more suitable. But the more I think about it (because such things are important and need moar thinking about), the more I suspect that Mugi's yuricon (if we can call it that) is more voyeuristic than self-regarding; that is, she likes to *see* other girls getting all touchy feely with each other rather than be the one doing the touching feeling e.g. the above screenie when Sawa-chan attempted to cos-raep Mio.

Which reminds me of why Mugi decided to join the Light Music Club back in the first episode - it was Mio and Ritsu's very slashable performance that got her hooked and reeled her into the club. I had just thought that she was just amused and felt that the club could be fun of Mio and Ritsu's very close friendship but now that I know what's up in her mind, I can't help but put a (*´??*)???? face on her during those scenes.
Speaking of Mugi's above-mentioned face (which I first learnt about via lolitron), I agree completely with Dav that it's a travesty that it was nerfed and hasn't survived the transition from the manga to the anime. *insert that emoticon w the upraised wry oh wry hands but I can't find it at the moment D:*
BTW wrt above scene, did Mugi use the word ?? or ???

Yes, we hope to see MOAR good things too!

SUPER YURI FUN ORGY

I’m crossing my fingers for the next episode or the one after because they’re key in showcasing more of Mugi’s perverse side. I’m hoping KyoAni doesn’t go and dilute what we’ve already seen in the original source. I was actually surprised they shoved that side of Mugi into our face a good few times as early as Episode 5 but it was toned down in the more obvious parts as the series progressed.

She used “?????”, but I’d like to think it’s “?????”. Eh… Right, the latter didn’t exactly made sense…
Btw, is this the emoticon?
(????)?
Credit goes to Nabatame Hitomi.

KyoAni certainly upped the yuri potential of Lucky Star but that was directed and composed by Yasuhiro Takemoto and Doko Machida respectively whereas K-ON is handled by Hisako Yamada and Reiko Yoshida. Still… hope for yuri springs eternal.
Thanks for clarifying that it isn’t moé haha.
Ah, so it’s from Naba-sama! (????)?

Yui and Ui… OH GOD MY NUTBLADDER. ;_;
Also ever-so-slightly worrisome, but then again Yui’s pretty much Osaka Mk. II.
