Well, one just has adjust one's yuri goggle power settings and you'll be able to detect the yuri power stronger than ever. For example, in the above left screenie, if 'strong looking' is what kids call 'hot looking' these days and in the right screen, 'against' really means 'with' then...

I've said that Saki doesn't compare that well with Hikaru no Go due to the different mechanics of go and mahjong but this episode had two unmistakeable parallels. First when the champion school walked past Saki and felt her aura. It reminded me of how Kuwabara Honinbou sensed Sai's presence/Hikaru's talent as he came out of the lift. And the parallel lives of go players on the net which became crucial to the plot such as the sai versus toya koya game that shook all the protagonists in so many ways.

Two squeezes to a cliffhanger!
I'm really quite excited to see how the next episode unfolds. SDB predicts that 'Nodoka is about to get creamed' (whereupon I had some ummm very un-yuri thoughts) but I'm wondering what could be the trigger if that does happen? Because she gets teased due to Etopen? Or Etopen gets taken away from her?
Actually my prediction is rather different. Nodoka will do well but fall short of confirming that she is the legendary online player Nodocchi. As she said earlier, she's still adjusting to playing in public with Etopen underwire support. Then, to give substance to Nodoka's earlier comment, that There Is Another, Saki will surprise the last round with her strength. There will probably be a Kiyosumi slump later but not against the relative small fry of this first round, is what I'm guessing.

The breast “jokes” remind me of some comics where Saki is depicted as being completely obsessed with Nodoka’s breasts.

As for the tournament, I don’t think anything surprising will happen besides Nodoka and Saki solidly beating their opponents in the first round.

Serffix: It was nice to see that Ashita wa Docchi Da’s style of humor again though it will be interesting to see how it goes. The early comics seemed to be a little less of a hit with Saki’s obsession with Nodoka’s assets. Though I like the comics linked here.
I like how they keep hiding the president’s actual skills as we watch.

I do have to admit that one of the girls on the big-bad team does look mighty butch. (She’s the tall one who wears the white shirt and tie.)
