K-ON 5

My yuri radar powers are indeed weak; I just took Mugi's words at face value after Yui caught her spying on her conversation and first aid session with Sawako-sensei. Dav came to the rescue by imparting her manga knowledge: 'Mugi thought they were having some sort of H conversation…'

And Dav also spoke for me when she said:
You know what they usually say about the cute and innocent ones having the most twisted POVs? They’re right every time. It goes without saying Mugi has the most screwed up mindset among the four. Of course in her case, we love it.
There was quite a lovely symmetry as to how Mugi's yuri goggling of Sawako-sensei led to her mail to Mio which led to the lyrics of the song that so triggered Mugi's yuri senses. It's also all the more powerful that we aren't actually shown or told what exactly Mugi is imagining. Which makes it all the more twisted and hawt.

Speaking of twisted and hawt, it seems that every school really does have one of those books.

Even though I love Mugi’s “Yuri” vision, I really don’t think it makes her a lesbian. It’s perfectly possible for a girl to be interested and fangirl/fantasize over a bond that 2 girls may share and still be straight. Though probably not 100% straight, but something like this isn’t enough to qualify someone as a lesbian. Now if she’d actually engage in the yuri action herself, that would be a different thing ^^

nah, mugi is not gay, she likes yuri, maybe she is bi so maybe she believes in “real love, when genres doesn’t matter”…so bi XD

I like yuri but that doesn’t make me a lesbian.

LOL, exactly. I don’t think Mugi is one as far as the Manga goes. She just likes “nice girl bonding sessions” (But if KyoAni wants to take that further, then it’s a different case). Whether or not Mugi is a lesbian doesn’t account for why we enjoy her delusional fantasies. As long as she produces those fantasies to feed our inner yuri fan, that’s all we need. Also as Zyl mentioned above, yuri isn’t the only thing on her mind. She is the most dangerous one among her peers after all…for various reasons ^^. Btw, Mugi went one step ahead of us in using yuri binoculars instead of goggles.
And PS. If you want to see true akogare towards a certain someone, be on the look out for a particular sempai; assuming KyoAni gets that far in the story.

Sawa-sama is pure win. This episode is simply the best (yet) because of her appearance. And, a lot of things did happen in this episode i.e. Mugi being interested in girl to girl relationships, Sawa-sama’s appearance, Yui’s improvement, Mio as a vocal.

I cracked up when Mugi went “Hai… Un… Yes…”

@ Dav
Well, KyoAni (and the voice acting chemistry btw Aya Hirano and Emiri Katou) upped the slashability quotient of Konata x Kagamin quite a lot wrt Lucky Star. *fingers crossed* for K-ON lol
@ Bill
They really do know how to push the buttons of fans. Quite a few of us were wondering if Mio could carry this show till its conclusion all on her own BUT NOW A NEW CHALLENGER (or rather supporter) APPEARS!
@ DKellis
Aside from the incredulity of the content itself, the delivery by Mugi’s seiyuu really conveyed the chara’s enrapturement in the world of yuri delusion, haha!
