They were not able to see each other, yes, but did it harmed their feelings? No. If teenagers can live together for almost a year, then live separately for more then a year and still have their love.. I just know it's not "crush" they had in the beginning of the series, it's Love of grown adults. Who trust each other, and believe in each other.
