Arguably Hayate would be best compared to one of those huge-ass big-gun battleships of yore; tremendously powerful, but in dire need of escort flotillas so it doesn&#039;t get CAVED by swarms of fast little ships (which its powerful main batteries have serious problems tracking) with torpedoes and/or flights of strike aircraft. Or simply a task force of a few lesser capital ships - your average battleship was in serious trouble indeed if it had to face even about three or so heavy cruisers at once.

Another workable parallel would be an MBT - powerful and armoured as those are, they require quite a bit of support from other forces (infantry in &quot;close&quot; terrain, AA cover, recon elements etc.) if they are to be much good in the field.

...or one of those tactical artillery missile vehicles. Can wipe out a city (if you put a tacnuke in the missile), but die like flies if even scout vehicles can get close...</description>
