So many worthy bishoujos, so few OVAs
Having just seen the most excellent Tomoyo centric Clannad OVA (ep 24) and (less recently) D.C.IF, I'm of the opinion that the world needs MOAR of such OVAs for the worthy beauties who got shafted in their original TV series. It needn't be an alternate retelling that results her 'victory' (as the Tomoyo and Kotori OVAs were.) A character-centric OVA fully dedicated to flaunting the charms of these bishoujos would have sufficed. For example, KyoAni's Tessa OVA is a testament that anime can be produced with deep unadulterated character love.
And so here's a list of worthy bishoujos who deserve their own OVAs and hoping to the respective studios do finally justice to these downtrodden heroines via an OVA or two.
Katsura Hinagiku (Hayate no gotoku)
Ep 49(?) was not nearly enough to sate my pink hair lust love for Hina-chan. She deserves so much more Tony Taka doujins! airtime!
Minase Nayuki (Kanon)
Both Toei and KyoAni's treatment of Nayuki were abominable. Needs more Nayuki running in a pony-tail!
Kazahana Mashiro (Mai HiME)
I asked for Mashiro OVA, they gave me Mai Otome - !@##$%#$. HOW DARE THEY desecrate my loli-goddess! I demand a miko-Mashiro OVA or responsible studio may not see another sunrise.
Suzumiya Akane (Kimi ga nozomu eien)
Akane Maniax is NOT what the bishoujo deities had in mind for our lovely teenage beauty! (Who incidentally grew 2 cups sizes in 2 years presumably from drinking swimming pool water.) Needs MOAR Akane in her middle school outfit!
Hisui/Kohaku (Tsukihime)
Honestly it's not an OVA we need but a full 2 cours Tsukihime anime built on the Kohaku arc. No OVA can fully convey the awesome the twin maids embody. Still 20 min of Hishui/Kohaku in meido-outfit could be therapeutic.
Zange-chan (Kannagi)
Cosplaying teasing sister.... Oh dear, I think I need a confession now. Or a Zange-centric OVA to curb those sinful thoughts...
Mochida Hinako (Myself; yourself)
It says a lot that I'm only in possession of ep 6 of the series. Needs more innocent loli-pecks-on-cheek!
Jyuujyou Shion (Otoboku)
The only one WORTHY of Mizuho. Needs an OVA to show how Shion utterly MOWS DOWN her competition.
Kashiwaba Tomoe (Rozen Maiden)
I'm probably going to tanuki-hell for this but I found the 14 yr old Tomoe incredibly sexy. I blame the Rei vibes. Needs an OVA of her frolicking with Hina Ichigo!
Miyabe Momiji (Wagaya no oinari sama)
Hairy beast or not, I'd hit it! Needs more 'live' Momiji (ala ep 13).
There's more but I'll stop at 10. Enough material for the studios to work on already. And oh going by how ToAru is going, Index would be needing her own OVA soon.

Yeah, where’s my fucking Kyou OVA? They had Tomoyo, now they need to make one for Kyou dammit.
I didn’t really like Nayuki all that much, but I did start to feel bad for her near the end. She really got totally shafted.
Apparently I really need to watch more harems, because I’ve only seen 3 of these (including the Clannad one). Although I did just start on Hayate no Gotoku, but haven’t been introduced to this Hinagiku who everyone seems to love.

What are you TALKING about. We need FMP to be rewritten with Tessa as a heroine! ;p You know, I often feel the same way, too. There are so many attractive side characters out there that deserve more love.

An anime version of To Aru Kagaku no Railgun is also needed.

Sometimes we should be careful what we ask for. *coughOtomeMashirocough* As much as I’d love to see more Hina, there’s not much basis for it from the source material. Unless, of course, Hata-sensei pull off a spin-off like the way Fuyukawa-sensei has done with A Certain Scientific Railgun.

lol, and here I consider Mai-HiME’s Mashiro incredibly dull while I absolutely adore Mai-Otome’s version of her. Their personalities are polar opposites, so I could see how if you liked the original you would be upset by the drastic alteration.
As far as I’m concerned, Hayate no Gotoku is already all about Hinagiku. The rest is just filler.

Zyl : I remember disagreeing with that post after watching D.C.if. Kotori’s shiawase is all that matters for her fans and it’s clear that the greatest bliss she can derive from the world of Hatsune jima is to have Junichi reciporate her love. Plus, the Junichi of D.C.if is the Junichi of Season 1 whom I deemed him worthy.

Not to say that Hina appearing wasn’t good – it was definitely the best thing about the OVA. But actually I think the recent OVA proves my point – it pains me to see Hinagiku being thrown up just to provide fan service; she deserves so much better than that a la Evirus’ point.
