Yuri Biri Biri Facerub Animated Gif
After much procrastination, I finally got down to making an animated gif from Index Episode 14 where Mikoto returns home to someone who loves her. 
Except I couldn't remember how to do it at first. And as with all matters technical, I turned to Kabitzin - specifically the tutorial recommended in the Matsurika guitar post.
First off, I had to get the images to make up the animated gif; went for the ffdshow method. But it didn't spell out step-by-step how to 'grab a range of frames.' Fortunately even I was able to figure it out. Eventually. So I thought I'd better write it down in case I want to do this again.
While playing the anime in Zoom Player, pause and then press 'I' - this gives the 'Information & Statistics' box on the left. The info I was looking for was 'Current Frame' - repeat to find the frame number to input in the Range option under the ffdshow Grab menu.
And here it is. I particularly loved the series of expressions that passed through Mikoto's face. 'Poor dear, I must have really worried her' concern to see how relieved her kouhai was to see her oneesama safe and sound, 'Dammit not again!' exasperation at Kuroko's erojiji seku hara, 'She does this every chance she gets!' resignation at the above-mentioned and finally 'Ah well, it's not so bad' indulgent smile.
Onward to Ep 21 for Kuroko facerubbing Biri Biri chest good times again!

Facerubbing into infinity! I know what you mean about the huge file sizes! I had to shrink and reduce colors to get reasonable file sizes and even then…

The size really surprised me because I had shrunk it down from 1280 x 720 to 248 x 140. But I guess 110 frames really adds up.

hmm here’s a bit of friendly advise I’ve learnt from gif making over the years:
I personally use virtualdub to grab frames into image files, you can adjust the sliders and select the scene(you can watch it too in a limited fashion) you want based on frame number rather than time.
Its less fiddly than having to open up several windows like you have to.
Oh and when putting the gif together, make sure to remove any repeated frames, otherwise the gif turns out slow and stutterey.

Ep 21 is probably going to be a little tricky. The scene somewhat pans out. But hey, that’s not gonna stop the fun. We need more face rubbing.
