Change we can practise

I have changed. Through encounters with others. Who have changed too. And so the theme of the first episode of XXXHOLiC Shunmuki was fortuitously spoke to me just after I just changed the blog's theme.

Regular readers might have also noticed that I've changed my blogging style since around October last year. From the ancient times (Gachapen desu!), my anime blogging really got going due to my Lunamaria Lunacy; loads of screencaps of Lunamaria and thoughts about GSD with her as my Most Important Chara; it was a style influenced by two now-defunct blogs: moyism's life line by line and Fencedude's Lair of the Diclonius. This style was employed to varying degrees, with notable peaks included renaming the blog in honour of Asa-senpai, logging on to Nagato Yuki, glorifying Athena, all hailing Cecile, powering on the Hinagiku flower and so on.

Another waza that developed in the course of blogging was the gattai between the above style and my interest in yuri. Particularly when I felt that certain series needed MOAR yuri. I'm glad to see that totali enjoyed practising it too.

All through that, blogging was largely episode-based; most obviously marked by the 'series title episode number' post title format. But things have changed. Due to various circumstances, I travel a lot more for work work and research fieldwork now. The quality of internet access... leaves much to be desired. It's hard to get anime in a timely manner (it took me one week to get Kara no Kyoukai 5 x_x). Uploading stuff is particularly wonky so I've had to economize on screencaps.

Even access to the blog itself can be flaky - there seems to be an automatic tl:dr cutoff sometimes. I've also stopped spamming Subculture Anime Blog (and others) with trackbacks too due to the need to reduce the strain of posting due to crappy connection. And so I've changed. And short takes, often with from a comparative perspective, is the current modus operandi of hontou ni sou omou?

Nonetheless the Zaku devotion remains unchanged and steadfast - all hail Lunamaria Hawke!
