A Certain LoliBiri Chat Relay

I agree, in general, that Loli Biri Biri / MISAKA Serial No.20001 / Last Order is cute. Though the latter name sounds more like 'kitchen closing time at the restaurant' than the Ominous Sign that it's probably intended to be.

But, as Keiri said, she needs to have her speech patterns reprogrammed. It worked well with Emotionless MISAKA but much less well.

I did get caught off guard, like Accelerator, when she suddenly turned analytical in the family restaurant and brilliantly deconstructed Mister Former Top Level Five's interactions with the Sisters. Good job!

Two final notes. First I had somehow expected that Satou Rina would voice all three Biri Biri versions like how Hayashibara Megumi voiced all three Reis but they are, despite their common genetic makeup, different people and Satou, Sasaki Nozomi, and Hidaka Rina make good contrasts. Would love to see them team up!

Second, I'm a little surprised that there's been no mention of the MISAKA project, Sisters and Last Order in the Railgun manga so far (up to Chapter 14).

  1. Not sure how the big shots handle story publishing for these two series but perhaps there’s already been adequate background about the Misaka project in Index; that’s why they decided not to do a rehash or its own POV version in the Railgun manga? ^^?

Or maybe they’re delaying that story until later. So far, Index and Railgun look like two totally separate entities plot-wise whilst keeping the crossover links to a minimum e.g. the occasional cameo of Touma. Speaking of which, the best part of Index Ep 19 -> no Touma. Wait… Why is his and Index’s name still the first to show in this episode’s ending credit despite not appearing at all? (Besides the title call and preview). The dibs of being the main characters? :p

  2. Her speech pattern drove our TL nearly nuts. He was basically threatening to drop this show if Last Order would continue to talk like that over and over again.

    “Misaka wa Misaka wa….” haaaaarrwjghrjgekjeg

I mean – she’s damn cute AND smart AND fun (I spewed some tea over my monitor when she was going “Yay! Immediate answer, immediate rejection, big fat no!”), but someone PLEASE fix her voice module.

Anyway, onward to ep21 pls! I see Kuroko with a devilish look on her face! Want moar!

  3. @ Dav

The MISAKA project just seems so rich in dramatic potential. I do hope we get some stories about it from the girls’ perspective in Railgun, particularly I’d love to see them all interact together more.

On Touma and Index not getting any airtime, perhaps it’s due to Touma tempting Stiyl and Kaori in Index-tan! LOL

    @ Mentar

Ah the job hazards of TL. :)

On the subject of spewing tea, we need Saber-tan too! :D
