Code Geass R2 Ep 10

Lloyd, the ole saying goes: 'Behind every succesful man is a woman.' I'd really rather have Millay behind me than Nina anyday.

LOL at C.C.'s power steering. And LOLOL at the Cheese-kun stickers decorating the truck's cabin. Good grief, I didn't realize that he had a whole freakin' family! I don't really get food mascots that feature ingredients given humanoid form... won't customers start imagining them screaming in pain as you bite them in half and suck out their oh so delicious cheesy innards... slurpslurpslurp. Waitaminute, maybe they are on to something here.

Kaguya expounds her theories of power marriages to Tian Zi: You shouldn't be too bothered that your husband fools around with lots of girls when you're not around. The fact he has a harem means that he's a stud thus you have good taste. Plus it means he is 'healthy'. But it also means that you can have loli-yuri fun with your friends when he's not around. Or at least that's how some of the doujin circles might interpret things... BTW nice new outfit, Kaguya. But of course, you still can't beat Cecile-nee's BUNS.

Gah, no going back to Ashford means that the dreaded headband is firmly in place. I am also :( Kallen. Well, at least you do keep your eye on the ball even if you're regularly interrupted/bested by green haired Jovian Lizard or loli-princess. Well, she did get a cheesy 'I'll definitely rescue you' line from Lelouch later on. I was half expecting Aika to turn up and mouth her classic line: 'Embarrassing lines are forbidden!'

After being really bitter and angry at C.C. at the end of the last season (and quite reasonably so), Lelouch's banter with C.C. has really had its moments of mutual understanding and megolomaniac playfulness - like in the second episode of R2 when he said: 'I don't want to hear that from an immortal witch.' And C.C. goes: 'Heh.' Like so in the scene above.

The most important rule of being a harem lead is to treat your haremettes with decency and respect always. I'm not sure how 'harem' and 'decency' and 'respect' go together but, leaving that aside, C.C. obviously wishes Lelouch to follow that rule and not abandon Kallen. Because she knows that Lelouch will be badly hurt if he has to cruelly abandon a haremette thus her smile of relief when he gives the order for a decisive battle rather than runawayrunaway. And also because, in my book, Code Geass is ultimately a harem comedy and so it fits my genre expectations rather than breaking them. C.C.: 'Good job, Lelouch! :)

Again it's the embarrassed look that completes the outfit. And the thought that Viletta-sensei may just be tsundere about it just adds to the omph.

Is Shirley the only one who receives Millay's bust checking attentions? This is a very important question because it will prove or disprove a number of scientifically formulated hypotheses such as: (1) Millay is a Hayate Yagami type. (She just has a thing for boobs in general, not the one specific girl that the boobs happen to be part of.)

Why does Anya have a photo of Loli Lelouch? Is she a past and future haremette too??

Carlsberg don't do bridge bunnies but if they did, they would be the best bridge bunnies in the world. Oh wait, never mind Carlsberg - Good job, Sunrise!

  1. Oh, I didn’t notice Watarase Jun in the picture next to Villeta -_-”

  2. Not Jun. A new character that has yet to be formally introduced in the anime. You can read more about her in the magazine articles.

    Cheers.

  3. issa-sa was just joking methinks. :3

  4. If that was Jun, that would be the most successful operation in history.

  5. Hmmm… but DFC is part of Jun-chan’s charm. :3

  6. No, Jun’s genkiness was his charm. That, and his blithe disregard for gender in order to try to win a certain man’s heart. The DFC was made to work by Jun’s fashion sense, s’all.

    I never thought i’d see a character on this show outdo Viletta… but I guess that’s because she’s fan-designed.

  7. Ah Kallen, I love the jealous look as she has no choice but to accept Kaguya’s theory on harem studs. In fact, I really appreciate all of Kaguya’s pseudo-science, especially in front of a naive audience (loli-empress).

The Shen Hu didn’t seem that impressive to me this episode. What exactly made it so hard to pilot? I understand that later Laksharta creations were extremely user-friendly and plug-and-play ready, so did the Shen Hu have a really thick instruction manual? Does it give the pilot tuberculosis?
