hnkd 1/2008: Hanging Together
The S.I.S.C.O.N. of the tanuki father may be visited upon the next generation. Because sometimes... siscon happens...

The post referenced in the first panel is Stripey's 2007 in review.
No raccoon dogs were (physically) hurt in the making of this koma. Ahaha~

It’s soo good to see the komas return.
You need to be more regular if we want to publish our first tankoubon by year end. XD I’m ambivalent about going digital though. Your traditional artwork had a lot of charm though digiart is very clean too.
Who is the tanuki in the koma again? XD

Xellos-_^, me!? Hitched? NEVARRRRRR!!! I haven’t even enjoyed the harem lifestyle yet!
Bro, it’s not digiart lah; is marker pen. Chinese inkbrush very the troublesome, must grind the ink, soak the brush, prepare the rice paper… Oh yeah, it helped too that Nauzron requested for some more koma.

LOL, I love this! Poor tanuki.

OMG traditional chinese brush paintings of tanuki?! I was always lazy and used the premade ink, although the kind you grind does seem to be of better quality. I don’t feel like rice paper would scan well, though.

Hemisphere, please check out the archives under the koma category for past tanuki comics.
Kabitzin, I’ve kinda given up on the traditional ink for the moment and am trying out Zebra permanent marker pens! The rice paper was why the old koma had a brownish background.
