Nusunde Lilith – Siscon to the max!

Have you ever had the distinctive feeling that a book/show was made just. for. you? I certainly felt like that when I learnt about Tinker's manga ~ Nusunde Lilith. Those following my descent into 2D art would know that Tinker is my favourite artist with her out-of-print Tsukiyo no Chakai being my Holy Grail of 2D artbooks. She combines two potent elements that simply melt tanuki hearts - elaborate gothloli fashion and imouto-moelicious characters designs. Now imagine this lofty art form woven into a Da Capo tale and we have Nusunde Lilith.

Basic story (spoiler warning!)

Ririna Corradi is perfect in everyway - Smart, beautiful (in all 4 categories - lolicious, moelicious, babelicious and idolicious) and even good in sports. However, she has one weakness - her onii-sama; a preeminent artist who enjoys using her as the nude subject of his works. Ririna, like all bro-loving imoutos, obliges the task in a bid to keep up the frequency of her brother's home visits (Damn! What kind of brother goes home only when he need her sister nude?) but is not quite so keen to have her nude picture shared with millions of lolicons art-lovers. With the help of her loyal maid, Sophia, Ririna becomes cat-thief Lilith by night to steal her precious brother's artwork.

Think it's crazy? You ain't seen nothing yet.

Fate had it that brother was lying in wait during one of Lilith's museum excursions and after some Love-Hina-esques gropes, onii-sama takes a liking for escaped Lilith whom he was unable to recognise without his glasses (*Rolls eyes*). He excitedly fabricated a cat-thief outfit for Ririna to model the next day so as to present his painting as a gift to Lilith. Yes, onii-sama unknowingly falls in love with imouto chan.... oh the lame irony... BUT I LOVE IT!

While I'm only at chapter 2 of vol. 1 but the story combined with the beautiful art has my shima shima shipon in flames already. Flipping through the rest of the tankoubon, I had caught a glimpse of a taboo kiss *gasp* and know from this very excellent review that there'll be an exciting new character - a cousin returning from abroad who is *surprise surprise* also in love with onii-sama.

Nusunde Lilith caught my attention through an advertisement for its drama CD in MEGAMI Creators vol. 10. It appears that Ririna would be played by moe-voice goddess Horie Yui which gets 2 thumbs up from this tanuki. Indeed, every aspect of Nusunde Lilith points to the existence of a siscon deity.

Can't wait to get my paws on Vol. 2.
