The Kirino and Saya antics in this episode just put a big smile on my face in this episode.
Wow, looks like Yuji has made in an impression on Satori. Will be interesting to see how this angle develops; given how he was MVP in the previous episode and made a decent opponent against her, he's not your typical pathetic male anime character so it wasn't galling in the least.
The ole good cops, bad cop routine.
Crazed Miya Miya fangirl has entered the doujo!
Clear difference in how the Ishida gang is having fun with kendo while the Hayashi-gumi is so stiff and scared. The fun cast and the fun they have together is exactly the reason why I'm enjoying Bamboo Blade.

Finally we get to see one of few girls who can make Tamaki break her 50% limiter. Will be very interested in how they will develope the story after manga material runs out.

Totali, I haven’t quite gotten a feel of Mei’s character yet and I’m not even sure if she’ll be a significant recurring chara. But nonetheless I’m looking forward to (i guess) seeing Tama-chan inspire a love of kendo in her during the next episode!

Oof. I’m behind by a couple of episodes on this series but so far I’m really enjoying it. Miya Miya is definitely one of my favorites for all of the reasons you’ve stated before. You should check outStratosphere’s site since his top picture is something you’d probably enjoy. If you want a savable version go to his 11/18 diary entry. Oh and there’s a Holiday Stars pic too.
