And the winner of 2007 hontou ni moé desu is…

Photo is from a shirt I bought on Day 3 of ComiKet 72 -
don't know the circle's name; if anyone can tell me, it'd be much appreciated.

...Lunamaria Hawke who, by sheer coincidence and divine destiny, is also the mascot of hontou ni sou omou? Allegations of nepotism were quickly quashed - those who had the temerity to make such spurious accusations were swiftly sued for defamation and made bankrupt. Responding to complaints about unfair electoral process, Electoral Commission Chairzaku Zyl pointed out that the iron law of 'One Zaku, One Vote' was strictly adhered to, making it eminently fair that Voter Zyl was the only one voter on the Electoral Register.

In any case, there was no ballot required either. Supreme Court Chief Justice Zyl had, earlier, disallowed a legal challenge against the retroactive amendment of the Constitution and electoral law, passed by Senator Zyl, of the Lunamaria Action Party which controls the entire hontou ni sou omou? Diet, stipulated a strict list of criteria, such as: 'Candidates must and can only be (1) Lunamaria Hawke'. As no other candidates could meet the legal requirements, Lunamaria's candidacy was uncontested and Returning Officer Zyl declared her the winner vide Section 33 of the hontou ni moé desu Election Act (Cap 219).

In response to calls that the charade of elections be abolished and Lunamaria be declared Moé Mentor For Life, Electoral Commission Chairzaku Zyl said while the sentiment was appreciated, we should not get carried away. The principle of democratic representation was important for internetional legitimacy and that we, fanboy supporters of Lunamaria, would only be too pleased to periodically seek a fresh mandate from the electorate in accordance to the Constitution and laws of the hontou ni sou omou? Zaku space colony republic. Verily no one can say that our great republic is not a democracy.

All hail Lunamaria Hawke, champion of 2007 hontou ni moé desu!

  1. So~ in despair over the local politics? ^^; I can’t believe I actually managed to catch all those, even though my interest in local politics is low. ^^;

    Haha.

  2. Haha, no lah. I was more inspired by the recent conclusion to SaiMoe 2007 to say that it doesn’t matter if my favouritest chara isn’t the most popular chara in otakudom. It’s ok, it doesn’t change the fact that I still love her!! :)

  3. Moeeee~!! >3

    That is all.

  4. I like to invite you all to the Super Moe Tournament pitting the many of the characters from 2006 against those who participated in Saimoe 2007. Here are the links.

  7. abao,

    Originally the post was about how popularity contests like SaiMoe so easily from being fun and community-building events into netwars which fans can take oh so personally and seriously. But the draft got boring and pompous so I junked it in favour of fanboying about Lunamaria. LOL

    W4,

    With water buckets too? ^_^

  8. At least your winner has breasts, unlike the SaiMoe one.

  9. Great political spoof :) Sounds just like something ripped from the front page! Except with 100x more Lunamaria.
