Megami 88 and Nanoha StrikerS 19
Agree with Shinpon's review that this issue is bursting with goodness. My particular favourites are the Signum poster (oh so dashing!) and the Lucky Star banana boat. The pencil board was yummy but could have been more yurilicious. In particular, I really liked the addition of black for her inner shirt above her breasts for Nanoha's barrier jacket design, gives her a maturity to balance the sexiness of her thigh-highs [edit: Hey, what happened to her mini-skirt and thigh-highs!?] and the childishness of the rest of her getup. How official is this new design? Will Nanoha's barrier jacket be redone for the DVD version or is this for her final release mode?
In any case, this is a joint post because of the Fatenum suggestions in both Megami StrikerS comic and the StrikerS TV series.
Talking about training and caring for Erio, Fate manages to (unconsciously) land a hit past Signum's tough exterior. My favourite Belka Knight gets physical with Fate. Just LOLed at Frazzled Fate's Ahaha~~ and Signum's -_- nuthin'
I'm a Nanoha x Fate guy but there's no denying that there's a nice simmering tension between Fate and Signum though mainly from the latter while the former has her eyes and heart firmly on Nanoha.
Which is why it's quite unusual for Fate to unsettle Signum rather than the other way round. Both are so cute when they are fumbling around in their general social awkwardness.
In other news, I take back what I said about Erio being gay. Because in his first encounter with Fate, the raging boy was subdued with the Face Against Chest hug. Fate is powerful indeed!

Don’t you mean more that Erio couldn’t breathe…?
Must admit, though, that I prefer the changes to Fate-chan’s outfit FAR more than I do Nanoha’s so far (or rather, the lack of change).

I also really like the addition of the black, more uniform style collar of the new design. It reminds me a lot of the collar on Fate’s new uniform actually (aww, they’re sharing clothing designs? XD) I wish they had added even more similar changes to her outfit, though. More darker blue lining or something.

Mandy, second your design suggestions! The 2nd OP shows Nanoha sans thigh-highs, back to ole skool BUT without the black collar (now that you mention it – adapted from Hayate’s barrier jacket so that all the captains, including Fate, have a common design element?) – which I think is the worst of both worlds. I wonder why they decided to go back to the MSLN/A’s length of skirt?

Isn’t that just Nanoha’s Exceed Mode, Zyl? If you watch ep 12 you can see that her outfit changes when she protects the helicopter from Dieci’s cannon attack. I don’t know if we can expect any further barrier jacket changes for Blaster Mode, which will probably be used in the final fight. I’m kind of hoping that RH turns into that giant artillery cannon that Nanoha is shown testing in the manga.

Shinzantetsu, thanks! I lost all my raws when my harddisk crashed so I didn’t go back to refer. re: giant cannon, I’m thinking either Wasteland’s Red Ryder air rifle or MIB’s Little Cricket.
