Claymore 1-4

Enjoying this series very much at the moment. Not least because of Clare-nee and the importance of dietary fibre. Yet I can't help but suspect that I would enjoy this series soooo much more if Lucky was a girl instead and addressed Clare as "Oneesama~~~ ♥" :3

Wikipedia says it’s Raki. Get over the Lucky Star craze already (lol j/k).
Yeah, Claymore is awesome. But needs more anime blogger exposure, currently rather lacking.

Oh I wish Raki was a girl too. I’d have gotten every single volume if that were the case. The moments with Clare’s flashback would have been wonderful if the whole series were something like that, but I guess we don’t get much devoted “boy” attention anymore. Yuk!
Would I give this series a chance? Heck yes. Just give it some Shoujo-Ai elements the way everyone said it had.

Haha, I know what you mean about what it would be like if Lucky was a girl. I know it says “Raki” but I put it as “Lucky” as well, because that’s what it sounds like. I just go with what it sounds like, because Wikipedia and subtitles are not necessarily always accurate.

Calling him “Lucky” would be a cruel cruel joke. I mean, if you thought that having your family eaten by Yoma and then getting tossed out to die was kinda unfortunate, just wait to see how “lucky” he’ll be in the future ^_^;
Nope, can’t be “Lucky”. That would just be sick.

Claymore’s manga has been licensed by Viz Media, and the Wiki article took its information from there? I’d have to say that’s pretty much as accurate as you can get.

Wikipedia. I love its convenience but, when it comes to citations, I also obey the convention that a primary source (Viz Media) is more authoritative than a secondary one (Wikipedia article) and therefore the former should be cited over the latter. [/pedantic]
Lucky vs Unlucky. I was thinking that there was lots of irony, fortune in misfortune. Family was eaten but he was saved, thrown out but rescued. I suppose if he ever wishes that he was eaten instead of saved then we’d have another dimension there. Thanks for keeping things spoiler-free, guys!
