This week's episode just reminded me of so many real life things. Like Tsukasa, I have a lot of trouble getting up. Especially during winter. Like Tsukasa, I'm better at planning my work schedule than actually implementing it. orz BTW surprised that Tadao and Matsuri Hiiragi have four daughters! Will be nice to see the twins in miko gear.

Salute to a.f.k. for subbing Konata's muttering while she was playing her RPG game. I hadn't even noticed it even though I had watched it twice before (raw and then Lucky Channel sub). Steady boh pi pi, man!

Really liked this. I've been wondering why Kagami and Konata are even friends, much less why Kagami seems closer to Konata than Tsukasa seems to Konata even though Tsukasa and Konata are in the same class. For me, this scene shows that Konata understands Kagami's thinking really well and that Kagami appreciates it on some level (e.g. feeling happy when she thought Konata had come to visit her while she was sick - which she actually did and I do buy Miyuki's saintly explanation).

I also found Kagami so much more interesting after her evil gloating expression at the thought of Konata flunking her tests and then being cheesed off when :3 power prevails. So far, of the whole cast, she's got the widest emotional range. Somehow I also love the way she says "dekin."

Yes, this happened to me before. I think it was at the Katong Shopping Centre arcade when I was still a conscript many maaaany years ago. Some 14 year Ah Lian just butted in and totally whipped my ass. Got no end of it from my campmates after that. One of the guys regained our honour by completely demolishing the Ah Lian group champion at Puzzle Bobble though. Of course, he got no end from us too because we didn't even know that he played it (was considered a 'girl's game') before that day! LOL

Another surprise. Looks like all four main cast members are left handers. Besides checking for rings (and ring shadow), one of those things I always take note of is whether a girl is left-handed. Because it's not fun sitting on the left of a left-handed girl at a crowded bar. Much possibilities of banging elbows and spilling beer.

Looks like Hiyori (long blackhair meganekko) is also left-handed. Spurred by Dav's hint, I've checked out the manga and it seems that Hiyori shares my gut feeling that Yukata and Minami are eminently slashable. Unfortunately, there's nothing in the manga that suggests that Yukata and Minami are anything more than really really good friends. But there's a lot of humour from how budding mangaka Hiyori imagines sparkles around the two of them, has to constantly try and stop her imagination from running wild (for a yuri script) as well as struggling mightily to not draw her friends ('I can't do this to my friends!') as a yuri couple. LOL

But I'm still looking forward to their appearance. Particularly Minami. Aside from pinging my yuri radar, reincarnating St Nagato (wonder how differently Chihara Minori is going to voice her) and some actually quite funny peta-peta jokes (is her FC still tasty-D?). Also hope that the anime will include some seriously scary Minami fangirling by Yukari (Miyuki's mom): Minami-chan, cool! Kakkoi~~!! Minami: 0_0;;

The Haruhi reference I can understand since KyoAni also referred to their FMP! work in Haruhi. Keroro reference I also can understand as it's popular among anime fans in Japan. But SHUFFLE! I'm not quite sure, even though I enjoyed it I didn't think it was that popular in Japan (though it seems popular enough to have the recap MEMORIES series made so quickly). I was also surprised when KyoAni made a reference to it in Haruhi. Is there some sort of link via Comptiq magazine?

Speaking of anime culture references, smack down. LOL
