Alter's 1/8 goth-loli Dark Saber ~ a pre-review rant
I don't have pictures to show for it (digicam out of commission) but I just had to break this out to the world before I break down from the excitement.....
And she is well worth every micro-second that I've pined for. See this promo pic of Dark Saber?
She looks EVERY bit like it. What you see is exactly what we got. Yes, she. is. BEAUTIFUL. I now remember again that it was HER who initiated my slippery descent into finanical doom when I pre-ordered her in March. Man, she's worth losing your soul sister to. Now I want to build an altar for Alter. They must be the blessed one of the Figure gods as KyoAni is for anime.
A full review (more of a gushing fanboy rant actually) with pics to come when digicam san returns. But off-hand I would say she's perfect except for the fact that she seems rather small for a 1/8. Either that Max Factory's 1/8 Aisia was made too big (lolita Aisia is her height and has a bigger head.)
Will properly address this in the full post. Now to stop the hyperventilating....

I see that you have aquired a new figurine. Your descent is now complete. Indeed you devoted as Darth Moyism had forseen.
I guess posting pics is out of the question. No doubt Stripey is doing more than fawning over the packaging. I suspect that he is conducting the ritual of opening with Darth Moyism, and can’t get past memorizing the litany of Ode to Darth Moysim. Must be Padawan Zyl’s constant striking of the aspiring tanuki for some new excuse that is holding things up. Perhaps, Nauzron’s gaze from her dark throne has caught sight of Gollum Stripey. Foolish mortal Nauzron’s gaze pierces earth, cloud, shadow and flesh.
That or he is now feverishly taking pics of “uniquely Stripey style angles” of his most recent object of affection.

Son of a… I’m still waiting on mine, which if I’m REALLY lucky will arrive tomorrow. If not, most likely this coming Monday/Tuesday. Dark Saber is probably one of the figurines I’ve been waiting all summer to be released and you teasing me like this Stripey is just plain evil!
If tj doesn’t take photos sooner or I don’t get mine in the next few days… Darth Moyism commands you Stripey to open and take photos ASAP! XD

Not sure about ebay prices but 40 USD should be about right. Anything less could be as you mentioned, ‘parallel’ imports from these Chinese factories or worse outright bootleg. And my significant half has a MAJOR say in the figures I buy. 
I’ve also taken the liberty to clean up your links. Thanks for them.. now you’ve gotten everyone to save up for the Rei figures.
Tim: Hehe, maybe we can pin our hopes on Fate/Hollow Ataraxia if ever it should be produced.

I don’t need save for it but I do need to justify buying Rei 1 and 3. Thats a lot of money. But the details on Rei 3 is amazing? Is your dark sbare as detail as Rei 3?

LOL! Well, Xellos-_^ I guess it’s not quite fair to compare. Since one is skin the other is textured wear.
But that said, Rei 3 is really detalied. 
Anyhow I did managed some pics of Dark Saber with a camera phone. Maybe you can be the judge yourself (although the picture quality’s rather crappy

Lordess Nauzron?! Nay you fool refer to her as Lady Nauzron if you value your tanuki hide, lest you wish to eternally rest lifeless upon her brow. Remember she is a Queen as beautiful as the dawn, and treacherous as the sea. You shall love her and despair…
So Darth Moyism’s bidding was a quest was to take one of the seeing stones from the crown of Nauzron. I take it that you failed miserably, hence the camera phone. If your left hand was bitten off by Zyl-fauglir then I have a new title for you. =P
Looking at the pictures you have provided I think I know why it took so long. The yellow base is certainly lacking. Perhaps a scratch built scenic base is in order, you could build it as penance from your master. I suggest that you don’t fail him again, tanuki.
Darth Moyism: Do you have an archived post on how to order the real deal and avoid the knockoffs, by chance? I have ear marked the need resouces for my inevitable journey to the Dark Side that will forever dominate my destiny.

Crusader, basically order from places like HLJ, CDJapan, Animaxis, and Hobby Search. You end paying normal price plus shipping but at least know you’re getting the real goods.
