World Hobby Festival 24
WHF ??24 just took place yesterday (30/7) but its very passionate participants have already put up many lovely pictures for our viewing pleasure (Link 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) My utmost gratitude to them for sharing the latest in the figure world.
Here's a couple of figures that caught my eye.

Of course, the e-guitar/b-girl Haruhis have already found their way to yahoo auctions and are going for 30000 - 50000 yen (at time of post) I have no doubt it'll break S$1000 by the end of today. Makes me want to slap myself silly for not aspiring to be a figure-sculptor when young. Sigh.
Now I can't wait for photo-reports of Wonder Festival 2006 Summer (the bigger name in hobby-garage kit cons) come 20 Aug.

BUBBA actually sold one set of the SHaruhi figurine prior to the start of the WHF on YAJ. It sold for 61,000yen… which is like… S$850++ The starting price was ‘only’ 18,000yen( S$250).
OTL
Of course, now that BUBBA has sold all his stock, what you see on YAJ now will have inflated prices…

Damn you LDP for stealing my billet!
Here’s hoping for a larger production of Haruhi PVC, failing that a tour in Japan.
Skane stop bragging, your making me jealous. In fact I am so tempted to make a raid to take that Statue and put it where it belongs… in a museum. Where do you live again you lucky bastard?

Skane: 0_o; Man I just have to sell 20 of that a month and I can cut my housing loan by 10 years…. LOL!
tj han: Madness indeed. Reminds of the time when 1/6 meido Saber (black ver) was going for about S$1000 at YAJ…
Crusader/muhootsaver: Where there’s money to be made, I’ve no doubt a mass produced PVC Haruhi is on the drawing board already. Although I would prefer a fortune-teller Yuki with her guitar.
Crimson: LOL! You talking about the chord?

the truth is, i’m talking about something more physical than chords
btw, what materials are these anime displays usually made of btw?

Haha crimson, I was trying to keep my thoughts pure and honorable.
I believe these figures above are resin products. The mass produced ones are mostly PVCs.

Holy moly, now those’re some nice figures. I particularly like the Haruhi and Suigintou ones, but that Suiseiseki’s not bad at all…
