Spam Karma ate my comments!

Sob.... I lost close to 300 comments to Spam Karma.... sob. It was a plugin activation gone REAL bad (no thanks to my IT incompetence as usual). Working to recover them (if that's possible). My sincerest apologies to the many commentors whose insights/wit/analyses had made my anime blogging so enjoyable. Sniffle.

Hontou ni gomen ne!

Update - 030306 - The lost logia comments are back! Eternally grateful to my Aniki Zyl for fixing it. :)

    I’ve recovered said comments. SK retains its spam harvest for 30 days before purging so all that was needed was to go to Manage > Spam Karma 2 > Recent Spam Harvest > Recover Selected.

    This kind of thing has been said to happen when SK is first installed (esp the harsher 2.2 version) and the spam harvest needs to be moderated to improve its effectiveness and reduce false positives. I suspect what happened was due to a comment thread waaaay back which sort of turned into a flame thread due to a misunderstanding / miscommunication among two of the commentators – all those in the vicinity were caught out as a result.

    WAHHH!!! Thanks brother!!! I thot I lost them for good while I was trying to moderate them. It went real bad when myself and almost every commentor was blacklisted. My karma score was in the -10k region… so I stopped installation halfway and lost all the non-moderated comments… or at least I thot so… LOL!

    Hahaha!! I suggested Spam Karma because I thought you might be too lazy to get an API key to activate Akismet. Sorry for the temporary distress! ;)
