FATE/Stay night 05
I like harem fun, intelligent harem fun that is. I also enjoy dark, action fantasies like CLAMP's X immensely. But I sure didn't enjoy the harem-themed dark tale that FATE was trying to spin here. FATE 05 felt terribly off-balanced. On one hand, we have lots of harem hijinks (Saber vs Taiga; Rin's chase of Emiya + 1 x pantyflash etc), on the other hand, we have sinister occurrences afoot of humans attacked and missing students.
I have no doubt that in the hands of a maestro-storyteller, these 2 seemingly immiscible elements could meld in a singular, flowing story-entity, dishing out harem hilarity or ominous foreboding when required. Unfortunately, Studio DEEN a maestro is not. The problem comes when harem fun encroaches on dark territory or when the dark plot undercurrents infringe on harem bliss, diluting the intended atmosphere. (The former is illustrated by Rin's chase of Emiya while the latter reared its head during a picture-perfect breakfast of Emiya and his 3 harem-girls catching unsavory news with an absolutely soothing bgm.)
While I didn't quite like the story-execution, I did enjoy very much the increasing charm of the cast. I only wonder how Saber convinced Taiga/Sakura that she would be 'safe' alone with Emiya. It would be a useful thing to know for men who are getting married.
With such an excellent premise and wonderful character designs, it would be a waste if the series bombs due to poor execution. I hope FATE picks up soon.

Maybe they should split up the franchise and do separate animes based on the game scenarios: HAREM/Stay Night (love comedy), Unlimited Fight Club (action drama) and Hell’s Feel (darkness, angst, Wagner).

They really overdid it this time.
I’m subscribing to the insani.org statement: Kinoko Nasu is a monster, not a scenario writer.
TYPE-MOON is a disgusied yakuza clan period. And aliens too boot.
I really hafta submit that nuclear bombing proposition to the ministry of foreign affairs…
*goes back to watching Shakugan no Shana – at least we have a bit of psychological realism here*

Will send you FATE goodies soon.
Dervish: LOL! Surely you wouldn’t waste the N-bomb on Type-Moon? How about getting Gainax first for Mahoromatic 2?
Oooh Shana… alot many people have recommended it just over the last week… Looks like I’ll have to catch that soon

Don’t bother. Nothing can save you from the
land of loliyour harem nirvana now XDWell why use something so ugly like N-bomb whn we have environment-friendly Ikaros series…
Well, my *real* preference this week was Pale Cocoon one-shot OVA but I doubt you’ll watch it XD
Also, Noein got me.

LOL! I don’t think Ikaros uses clean fuel. Looks more like napalm to me
Moreover, cackling giant squids (with hairy legs) also spoil my appetite which is a BIG no no since I watch all my anime during meals
N-bomb still the easier path to loli-land harem heaven
Pale Cocoon… hmmm haven’t heard that one.. will check it out thanks, bro.

Now come to think of it rather than Pale Cocoon I should have mentioned Binchou-tan which is nearly perfect to guide you to the land of loli. It uses extremely clean environmental-friendly pure charcoal as moe propellant. About food, I do it in exactly opposite manner: I always eat while watching anime. LOL! Actually wat we both need is a live-in sister figure who cooks like Nemu (DC season 1) or Elis (Canvas2) or even Hagu/Yamada (Honey&Clover). I’m sure we’ll lose weight drastically.. er hopefully from poor appetite and not poisoning that is
