Some translation notes on the last two SS01 parodies (I skipped 5-7 because the Loli x Shota jokes were actually pretty tiresome, translation notes on 2-4 here) and, prompted by Tamago no Oheya’s 310th comic, an exploration of the idea of two sharply contrasting models of childhoods (REALLY SCREWED UP versus PLEASANT BUT RONERY) that most of the Nanoha cast can be divided into with implications for the dynamics of their interactions.
I linked to the second and eighth StrikerS Nano! parody of the first sound stage some time back and learnt a new word (æ‰ã‚€ momu - to rub; ‘momi’ in the active tense) in the process.

A few rough translation notes on ashita wa docchida?’s StrikerS Nano! parodies of the first Sound Stage. AFAIK while scanlation of the main body (001-182) covering the TV series has been completed, I’ve only seen a translated version (thread) of the first comic (original) of the first Sound Stage thus far.
Hope I’m not reinventing the wheel (and doing so rather badly in the process); corrections will be greatly appreciated.
Hinano’s announcement that she has jumped on the Kyonko bandwagon was the nudge for a few thoughts, that have been fermenting away at the bottom of my mind’s barrel, to bubble to the surface. A couple of quick comments on the Kyonko phenomenon and Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS parodies of Nanoha’s ‘Full Power Full Release!’ (全力全開) catch phrase.
After Myssa Rei’s comment, I have been searching my feelings about the whole Kyonko thing. There were two things about it which did not particularly endear themselves to me. First, the girls get turned into guys. Yuki becomes Yuuki. orz orz orz orz
