Theological finessing of doctrine is important. It’s been said that: ‘Theology is a device for helping agnostics to stay within the Church of England.’ Likewise for anime doctrines.
you really think so?

Baka-Raptor’s reckoning that Kei was 20 times better than xxxHOLiC’s first season is somewhat hyperbolic but I do agree with the core of his argument. Watanuki is, or rather - becomes, less whiny and shows tremendous growth as a lead. But also because, as he changes, so do the people around him and their interactions.
The character of Kunogi Himawari stands out in this respect. I had thought that Itou Shizuka had been rather wasted in playing this supporting role since she had so little screentime. I had only read the manga up to Vol.9 so I was surprised and delighted by her arc across Ep 11 and 12 of Kei.
The powerful flower refers, of course, to Hinagiku which apparently means daisy (en). IIRC I first heard this chara song in the anime when Hinagiku debutted in her Revolutionary Girl Utena cosplay. This single was on sale back in August last year when I was visiting Tokyo on the occasion of Comiket 72 but I hadn’t fallen under the spell of Hinagiku yet. Though I downloaded it a few months ago, it’s nice to have the chara CD in my physical possession. And, well, better late than never. Ahaha~♥

LOL at Sakura’s berserk imagining of Noboru’s Phermone Power after Momiji’s comment; she notices him because of how he has a delicious smell. But then again I notice Momiji because her voice has that delicious Shizuka Itou sound.
