I had been just a bit tempted by the reports that KimiAru had some light yuri fan service but only finally picked it up after reading two sentences over at SS!AB - Kabitzin, I blame you! OMG what a stupid series. But the LOLZ, KimiAru haz it.
Other than the influence of the Namako empire, I had also heard that there was some oneesama fan service in KimiAru. And an impressive VA lineup that included personal favourites such as Shizuka Itou, Yuko Goto, Rie Tanaka, Yuu Asakawa, hitomi, Tomokazu Seki.
I ended up marathoning it over two days. It was Not Good but it was still great brainless entertainment. A run down of favourite moments follows.

I nominated Wirhelmina for MVP based on the events of Ep 20 and the disbursement of the Johan anti-Stigma bandages in Ep 21 but it looks like Alastor has conferred MVP on Yuuji for his strategic leadership. T_T

I was slightly disappointed with the animation quality of the Sabrac vs Shana fight. The OP version of it was so much better! Are they saving it up for the DVD or something? And Wirhelmina didn’t get the chance to deal the final blow against her long time nemesis either. Oh the travails of being a supporting chara!
Actually the most disappointing thing was how the bandages didn’t really add to her sexiness the way it did for Rei Ayanami post-Unit Zero berserk mode or Lunamaria Hawke between her Zaku and Impulse phases. Yappari, bandages must cover a head/eye wound to have said sexiness modifier!?

Muh muh muh~~ Like Kabitzin and Totali, I just love the way Wirhelmina mumbles when she’s under stress. IIRC she also did that in the first season when agonizing whether to indulge Shana with a meron pan treat or to risk spoiling her / developing strong affection for her charge.
Unfortunately I’ve been muh muh muhing a lot meself. Due to work commitments, blogging (and even animu watching) will be patchy over the next eight weeks or so. Sighz.

‘So I have been unmasked, on the interwebs, by Kabitzin, as the notorious author of swarmy lovu novels, T. Amet. The last time I got unmasked was by Bel Peol de arimasu.’

While this episode was indeed The Melancholy of Kazumi Yoshida, I’ll less harsh on Yoshida than big meanie Aroduc. For Pheles’ hougu, batteries are not included and x1 Yoshida POE charge is required to use. To insult to injury, Pheles said ‘I Choose You’ to Kazumi because she can use the hougu (doesn’t freeze inside a fuzetsu) and because she is expendable and her death is perfectly acceptable. Ouch.
