I saw the above poster via Kurogane and one of my sensei-level commenters, Shinzantetsu, also kindly put a link to a much higher resolution scan. *wipes nosebleed* I struggled mightily with temptation and, with the added whammy of the Kagamin x Konata wedding picture, dealt with it in the best way, that is, to give in completely; have asked Stripey to procure a copy of Megami 93 for me (to save on the arm and a leg shipping costs from Japan to the UK).
And to think I had actually been entertaining the notion that Comp H had knocked Megami off its pedestal WRT my spending priorities but it looks like the goddesses in its pages have still got it: Evils I tell you.
Agree with Shinpon’s review that this issue is bursting with goodness. My particular favourites are the Signum poster (oh so dashing!) and the Lucky Star banana boat. The pencil board was yummy but could have been more yurilicious. In particular, I really liked the addition of black for her inner shirt above her breasts for Nanoha’s barrier jacket design, gives her a maturity to balance the sexiness of her thigh-highs [edit: Hey, what happened to her mini-skirt and thigh-highs!?] and the childishness of the rest of her getup. How official is this new design? Will Nanoha’s barrier jacket be redone for the DVD version or is this for her final release mode?
In any case, this is a joint post because of the Fatenum suggestions in both Megami StrikerS comic and the StrikerS TV series.
…was what I would have liked to say about yesterday’s expedition to the Holy Land. Instead it was more appropriate to describe it as Akiba raids Zaku wallet. I would orz but I also saw this marvellous sign in a basement shop with a big red circle around and line across OTL - orz is forbidden! Photography was also forbidden in most places; I had to sneak most of my shots from just outside the shops or in the corridors and stairways.
I was so not inclined to buy this issue because Louise was the cover-girl. So Stripey can have this issue now that I’ve browsed the relevant Lucky Star and StrikerS articles and liberated my favourite stuffs - mainly this lovely Konata x Kagami swimsuit poster:
