Yamibou 8

An ancient Japan type world this time. Hazuki (Hatsuki?) saves a cute fox spirit, Meirin, from a band of samurai. She ends up meeting Princess Fuji who is a dead ringer for Hatsumi except that she speaks. She also uses an ornate comb that Hatsumi used in Ep 7 and the legend around the comb is the same Eve legend encountered elsewhere. Ninjas, intent on gaining Princess Fuji’s mysterious power, attack the mansion while Lilith and Meirin ride their coattails in. Continue reading ‘Yamibou 8′

Yamibou 7

Miruku is saved by her white tiger. Ayaa reveals that Seiren was a demoness spawned by Lilith as the latter realizes that Seiren was only interested in harnessing Miruku’s power. Hazuki and Lilith give their boat to Miruku and return to the Great Library and fix the book with the tear in it which gives Miruku her headaches and prevents her from growing up and thus finding love. As we know from the start of the previous episode, Miruku does grow up and has reached the far shore with Ayaa’s help.

The second half of the episode deals with Hazuki and Hatsumi before the latter’s disappearance. Hazuki’s seriously sexual attraction to Hatsumi is hammered home - not one but two scenes of Hazuki getting off NSFW *shlick shlick* NSFW. At the end of the episode, when Hazuki resolves to maintain the status quo, we are given a hint that Hatsumi might feel the same way about her. Continue reading ‘Yamibou 7′

Yamibou 6

Hazuki and Lilith arrive on an island and meet a young girl, Miruku, her white tiger and the demoness Seiren. Miruku, like Sakura Yoshino of Da Capo, does not age and suffers from peri peri (mind quakes) that rend the landscape but then disappear when they subside. At the end of the episode, the quakes are shown to be related to the Great Library. Hazuki dives into the sea to try and save Miruku. Continue reading ‘Yamibou 6′

Yamibou 5

Opening scenes of Gargantua prancing around with his troll trio and demoness Seiren in attendance. What a waste of time. The story proper features Hazuki and Lilith in a caveman world. The latter is mistaken for a god which represented by a huge eye because of her hat. Cavegirl Kuiru acts as interpreter, goes akogare on Hazuki and later offers herself up as a sacrifice. The real “god” shows up for dinner and is defeated by Hazuki who is installed as the new god. Hazuki and Lilith spot Ayaa and Kuiru loses her babelfish. Another dead end. Was well chuffed with plenty of Kuiru-Hazuki flirting and Lilith jealousy. Continue reading ‘Yamibou 5′

Yamibou 4

No Hazuki in this episode. Buuu. More background into the Jill-Ritsuko-Gargantua angle. Ritsuko is serving the princess Mariel of some kind of Frog country (where Suzuka Asahina will probably get arrested for her frog hating) and Garu turns up as an alchemist. The catch is both Ritsuko and Garu are over 100 years old but don’t look it. Mariel falls for Garu’s charms. He offers her up as a sacrifice is foiled by Ritsuko - seems that Jill’s name and associated memories trouble Gargantua. Alas the princess has been half-demonised and takes her own life. In the darkness and mist, Lilith appears before Gargantua and accepts Mariel’s soul as payment. Continue reading ‘Yamibou 4′
