1. Fate’s mail. Introduction by Fate, situating the events of SS04 as the follow-up to events (Relic and Jail Scaglieti incidents) after Episode 26 of the anime. Like Sound Stage 3, it is consistent with the anime and adds just a bit more information to it.
2. November Riot Force Six. End of newbie training session by Nanoha and Vita. Former tells them to prepare for night training simulation while latter comments that they still have a way to go. Signum remarks that the trainers are hard on the rookies as always. Shamal says that Zafira is back in the hospital, resting. Vice goes to visit Zafira. Some kids are fussing over the big dog-wolf.

Left image from yesy fansubs and right image from Taedium’s DVD rip. I really appreciate that yesy has completed the subbing of StrikerS especially doing their best within the constraints of the lower-than-usual quality of the raws too. The latter (right, from the DVD rip) is definitely brighter, sharper, and better looking - makes the DVDs better VFM. But as the title of the post suggests, I’m a bitty bit upset by the cleaning up of one detail which made me go OMG! in the first time round.

Just as how some people have the misperception that all anime = pr0n, I had the mistaken impression that all Nanoha doujins = OMFG IT’S THE FEDS/RCMP/MET loli-pr0n. While there is a not inconsiderable amount of that around, I’ve been fortunate to have my eyes opened to very funny non-hentai Nanoha doujin by other animebloggers and commenters as well as my visit to ComiKet 72.

One of the things that I enjoy about the Nanoha franchise is how the supporting merchandise ties in with the main storyline in the anime. While I didn’t need them to understand the anime, the manga inserts in MEGAMI as well as the MEGAMI Sound Stage injected lots of interesting details into the Nanoha universe. As with the first and second seasons, Sound Stage drama CDs are a mainstay of such tie-in/supporting goods. See Kurogane for summaries of the first and second StrikerS Sound Stage. For Sound Stage 03, there was a disappointing lack of Nanoha x Fate love-love subtext but at least there was a fun Subaru x Teana exchange:
