♥ing the heartless

I found myself belatedly developing an interest for and liking of Ryoko Asakura after the initial airing of Haruhi. It had been sparked off by the yuri content of Ryoko’s creepy stalker Shizuru-like crush on Yuki in the fourth novel, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya but continued to grow with exposure to Stripey’s fanboying.

Claymore 11

While Clare’s firm resolve is cute in a Loveably Stupid Saber sort of way, I just couldn’t help but imagine her being chased through the streets by Gloria Gaynor a la Ally McBeal (youtube).

Claymore 1-4

Enjoying this series very much at the moment. Not least because of Clare-nee and the importance of dietary fibre. Yet I can’t help but suspect that I would enjoy this series soooo much more if Lucky was a girl instead and addressed Clare as “Oneesama~~~ ♥” :3
