LOL so, despite her looks, Kou isn’t under-age after all. Kurogane’s pretty much cornered the market for drunk miko screencaps. :P
This episode has been brought to you by Suigintou. Awww… Mubyou and Fukuro were so sweet to each other. Have to say that I did think of the Murder Princess question. And everything that was weird about Mubyou makes perfect sense now, like her winter attire, her wolf and sheep hand puppets (I’ll miss those ;_;), her tsundere hostility to Fukuro.
I initially picked up this series, despite the so-so start, because of Tenko seemed cool and Kou seemed to be a treasure trove of potential comedy. Thankfully, Yukana’s done a brilliant job as the former and likewise Hayami Saori as Kou. And the brothers have become quite likeable too. So looking forward to Momiji (ah Shizuka Itou goodness) playing a larger role, as hinted by the OP, as the series progresses.
P.S. Love power or not, I thought Sakura should have just discarded the other shoe.

one of my absolute favorite shows this season.
Also a *surprise* favourite show this season since I didn’t know much about it before it aired. Some parallels to how I didn’t expect much from Bamboo Blade but grew to enjoy it very much.
Say, does Kou formally qualify as “onee” now ? :3
Yes, that’s an important question, Watchman! Unfortunately no. Let me over-elaborate on my reasoning. :P She doesn’t qualify for Cat 1 Onee because she isn’t actually an older sister to anyone. Doesn’t qualify for Cat 2 either because the Takagami brothers don’t address her with ‘nee’ in the honorific/salution. Not great for Cat 3 either – not even a whiff of implication that they see her as having ‘onee’ qualities.
What, are you implying she *isn’t* Cool Big Sis role-model material!?!? (O_O)
Oh, Kou is cool and a marvellous chara. But her behaviour is very ’servant’ or ‘family retainer’ type rather than ‘oneechan’. I’m not seeing the latter at present but Perhaps that will change in time? :D
Pwns in the “awesome” departement, flunks utterly at what might be termed “life skills” and “common sense”… (and hosts some kind of figgen’ dragon!!1!1!1!!11, which may have something to do with the latter – besides by all appereances having been raised under the proverbial rock in the Mojave…) :/
Granted, not necessarily the first thing a growing lad in full possession of his senses would regard as an exemplary elder-sibling figure, other good points (like the ass-kicking of noisome critters) nonwithstanding. -.-;
