Code Geass R2 Ep 6

It’s about freakin’ time! Okaerinasai, Cecile-nee!!!!11one

[MySQL on the server hosting the Houtouni Empire was down earlier today thus 'Error establishing a database connection' but it was fixed almost instantaneously when the support people got my ticket. Good job, Midphase! And after getting used to both 16:9 and 1280 x 720, the first lower resolution raw was positively quite orz even though it was still definitely better than nuthin' and nowhere as orz as the StrikerS raws...]

Britannian tailoring technology must be truly superb… just how does Cecile-nee button her jacket with her bust straining against it like that??

Lloyd referring to Uncle Charlie de Britannia as ‘Koutei-chan (皇帝ちゃん)’; I was ROTFLMAO – luckily, for him, there isn’t any one who’s as keen as Li Xingke to avenge insults to the head of state. Poor Cecile-nee having to babysit the Pudding Earl but that is also part of her Onee-chan charm. BTW I’ve been thinking that ‘hakushaaku (伯爵)’ will be translated as ‘Count’ if one follows the Flowery Lineage of Meiji Japan or if the series is Hellsing but Earl is probably more suited to the Britannian context because the title of Count doesn’t exist in the British nobility…

Interesting that the capital of the Chinese Federation is in Luoyang rather than Beijing. Or Nanjing. Or Chang’an. Or Anyang. Or Xi’an.

LOL Loli Princess Moonlight Peach Party! Tianzi/Tenshi doesn’t sound particularly moé, in fact, she sounds kinda hoarse… Will have to reserve judgment until she gets more lines. No doubt she’ll end up wandering around Tokyo where Lelouch will get her a stuffed toy from a UFO catcher. =_=;; Oh, and I’m just waiting for someone to make the Tenma Sunshi/Sunko (孫子) joke about mispronouncing the (nameless) Loli of Heaven’s title of Tenshi as Tenko.

Given how Kaguya is given access to the titular (puppet) head of state, it supports the discussions on the forums (link?) that she may be the hidden Empress of Japan? Well, the Japanese rules of succession in this universe would certainly have to be different. But certainly her surname Sumeragi (皇) indicates a relation to the Japanese Imperial house. And interesting parallel in Xingke’s ambition to pull off an equivalent of the Meiji Restoration by destroying the power of the eunuchs.

Now that Koutei-chan has called V.V. ‘Niisan’, I await the inevitable parody that does the former’s hair style with twin big bow ribbons, adds a cat bell around his neck and a white nurse coat. And given how the ED portrays the Britannians as white feathered angels against the Zero Brigade’s black leather devils, we might just get a SUNRISE ‘ending’ where it’s revealed that C.C. is the advance party for invading aliens who will make humans into toppings for their pizza while V.V. was actually a traitor against the Jupiter pizza lovers (he prefers Big Macs).

If voice actresses get the same pay per episode regardless of the number of lines, then Yuko Goto must be feeling very smug indeed.

Oh, and I haven’t heard anyone refer to Anya by her name + title yet. Given that she’s a Knight of Rounds, she should be addressed as ‘kyou (卿)’. Though if it followed the British convention, it’d be translated as ‘Dame’ (I’m still not convinced that Integra is a ‘Sir’ but ah well if it’s what the mangaka wants…) And speaking of which, I realize that Suzaka’s commands have been acknowledged (e.g. by Viletta) with ‘Yes, my lord’ but being finicky, isn’t Suzaku-kyou supposed to be Sir Suzaku rather than Lord Suzaku? Likewise for Guildford. Not so sure about Gino (who comes from an established noble family) and Orange-kun (who was a Margave prior to letting Suzaku and Zero escape)…

More Lloyd LOLOLOL as Cecile-nee is horrified that he ‘borrowed’ Avalon without actually bothering to ask Prince Schniezel.

Plenty of deja vu this season but this was particularly good. It fits well with Nunnally meaning to do well. It also fits with Suzaka’s agenda of trying to rehabilitate Euphie’s memory. And the plan was almost a great success – more than mecha or geass, sometimes politics can be the most powerful weapon of all. Especially when combined with SISCON.

Aaah, the sheer of bliss of Cecile-nee doing bridge bunny lines. Technobabble plus caring but authoritative is happiness~~~

While Kabitzin is looking forward to the awkward Ogi x Viletta reunion, I can’t wait for the scene when Lloyd and Cecile-nee meet Rakshata again. The rivalry between her and Lloyd will be funny. But most of all, as Shinzantetsu reminded me, in the first season, Lloyd teased Cecile-nee about a ‘certain person’ – very likely that it’s Rakshata so yuri FTW!

And this has caused me to exceed my quota of Chinese language for this week.

Kallen, make sure you bring back two pepperoni with extra cheese. The extra cheese is very important. Oh, and Lelouch too.

New outfits are always welcome.

I’ll forgive the return of the headband on account of Kallen’s superbly angry: KONOOOOO!!!

LOL at the back and forth of new technology surprises but Rakshata wins this round. And LOLOLOL at Lloyd screaming in pain and clutching face at the exact same place where Kallen scored a hit on Lancelot.

So, having suspected that Suzaku and her Oniisama may be having a big lover’s quarrel, Sherlock Nunnally’s superb sense of hearing now leads to suspect that her Oniisama… loves cosplay!!?

Kaguya in Serafuku probably makes Tanuki very, very happy.

PS: Suzaku and Lulu are both members of SISCON, and must be destroyed. For a pure and imouto-free world.

Lolis a plenty! Soon all Nations will be under the rulership of Lolis!

You know I wonder they even go after C.C. unless, she’s to be the waifu of V.V. …

In any case Cecile and her idiot are back, now all we need is for Cornelia to join the party to fore the circle to be complete.

V.V. actually looks very much like Nunally…

Lloyd and Cecile have to be the two best characters in this show though, Diethard a close 3rd.

Oh Cecile, how I missed thee…

Lloyd teased Cecile-nee about a ‘certain person’ – very likely that it’s Rakshata so yuri FTW!

    That’d boost my ratings…

Kallen’s gurren and “who do you think I am?” LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I love how Nunnally is a poor, blind, kidnapped man’s Euphie.

This post reminds me of just how annoying it is to iron women’s fitted shirts. In order to fit well around curves, the shirt has to be made of more pieces, so you can’t just put it on the board and go over it with one swipe.

Lloyd annoys me, but more Laksharta time makes up for it.

BTW, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but apparently you can order pizzas topped with burger…

Haesslich, I second your call – for a pure and imouto-con free world!

Crusader, if all Nations are under the rulership of lolis, does that mean that lolicons will all be exalted or executed? :P

Epi, will V.V. and Nunnally have a ‘Luke I am your father’ moment!? Or just a ‘It’s a trap!’ shota moment?

Baka-Raptor, verily Oneesama x Yuri is The Power!

Myssa Rei, sorry I didn’t get the reference. :( Educate mi purisu!

totali, LOL I was half-expecting Gurren Aerial Type to spring a drill.

Kabitzin, Nunnally probably scores high with those vulnerable to Shiori (Kanon) type moé.

I can barely iron men’s shirts properly. Women’s fitted shirts sounds like a tough Final Boss!

Pizzas topped with burger – only in America!!? I’m sure the Italians will be forthing at the mouth if they ever see one…

The part where all the windows popped up while Kallen was trying to install drivers for the arm and flight pack reminded me of the overaggressive UAC in the early days of Vista. Too bad they still haven’t fixed that problem…

At least she didn’t get the blue screen of death. ;)

Unfortunately her homepage was set to laksharta.com, her browser now has 3 extra toolbars, and all of her default programs have been reset to crapware programs.
