I found the chara art a bit strange at first (and seems rather different from the manga) but it really grew on me. It’s really quite gorgeous now… I was expecting Raimei to be bitchier (like Asuka) or more high and mighty (like Eri Sawachika) or shoutier (like Tina Foster). But she’s pretty nice. And pretty normal. Apart from the shinobi part. And pretty. So much for my established blonde gaijin stereotypes; somehow FEITO is not part of that canon. Probably because she is an alien from another planet/time-space/dimension. Even though she has an Italian surname… -_-;; Of course I wondered about her parentage… blonde girl with Japanese name has a precedent in charas like Eri, of course. But I wonder how that will play in the larger canvas of the story. I’m more confident that Thobari Kumohira Durandal’s Irish upbringing will probably play a part in how things play out.
