We know due to the flashback that this particular scene WILL happen. And it only makes sense if everything leading up to it will also happen. Yes, it didn't happen in the first 52 eps, and I really didn't like that. However, this is a clear confirmation that it will happen (since it HAS happened, just not yet). If you ask me - airing this in ep52 is pretty much a confirmation that the studio is very much aware that the hardcore fan block DEMANDS the Hina/Hamster arc. And they tease us with it. The Cloud of Despair should be _completely_ gone now. We know due to the flashback that this particular scene WILL happen. And it only makes sense if everything leading up to it will also happen.
