The kendo-kers face off in the individual matches of the Rising Dragon tournament, the very one where Ishida won his great victory all those years ago in the 25th tournament. In the first round, Satori gets crushed by Tama-chan while Miya Miya finds an opening in Carrie’s stance to land a spectacular strike FTW. Dan and Yuuji face off; the former has improved tremendously, surprising a pumped up Yuuji - the latter’s battle aura is noticed and admired by Tama-chan. Our petite heroine faces Rin in the second round but Ishida’s training, we finally see Tama-chan’s mom’s face and her new love for kendo results in a spectacular victory. It’s a dream come through for Reimi! But Miya Miya’s brought a chaperone.
It was both funny and satisfying that Reimi’s obsession with Miya Miya has finally paid some dividends! It just made Miya Miya’s victory over Carrie even more satisfying as she had superior intel from the video footage, superior planning with Satori’s advice, the element of surprise and superior morale from Da Powah of Dan Rabu (oh yes, I can just hear Kabitzin die a little more inside now LOL). Complete reversal of how Reimi’s antics had caused Miya Miya to completely lose it and thus lose her matches almost like forfeitures (lights are on but no one’s home) - this time, the distraction of Reimi’s flash actually resulted in her spectacular disarming of Carrie’s double swords.
Tama-chan, we will now incorporate you into our yuri harem before Yuuji can get to you! Your loli distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile!
Ishida rides off into the sunset; is his teaching career over for good since his team didn’t distinguish themselves with a trophy? I was thinking that a combination of the team, Yoshikawa-sensei and particularly Miya Miya persuading Reimi to persuade her mom might save the day for Toraji… but let’s see next week for the final answer.

I’ll take a 7-some with all the girls…they all win…. The Muroe 5 plus Reimi plus Rin…. This episode kicks arse… 25 episodes for a double knockout with Carrie getting hers and Tama overcoming Rin and her Jodan weakness. My number one show these past two seasons and I will miss it greatly… What could possibly fill the void that Bamboo Blade will leave?
