Like Kabitzin, I got a very nice email asking to help spread awareness about Tokyopop’s I-Manga Music Video Mash Up Contest which ends in just a few days time - 23 May 2008 at 2359 hrs (which time zone?).
It’s nice to see that some industry players are engaging with fans, with sweet prizes no less. And it was a usable excuse to post the above (otherwise belated) headline image: whenever I see the word ‘mashup’ the first thing I think of is cooking…
Whenever I see the word “mashup” used in anime discussions, I tend to imagine several anime characters mashed together in a tight space (i.e. Hayate, Tsukasa, Kunyan and Hare trapped in the barrel where Luffy was sleeping, or Rin, Saber, Kirino, Saya and Hakufu smooshed closely toghether while spying on someone).
Mashup like symmetrical docking?
@Kabitzin: Going by my previous definition, “mashing” would be closer to “funny” while symmetrical docking remains *hot*.
