Hina-chan, as promised, I’ve finally gotten round to watching and capping your kendo episode!
Absolutely agree with deftoned that ‘what really matters regarding anything pertaining to Hayate no Gotoku. Hinagiku~’ Hina banzai!

She’s so cool as Student Council President defending a student in trouble…

Though she really knows (without really knowing) how to just stick it in!

Shot through the heart / And you’re too late / You give love a bad name, Azumamiya! :3

Series needz MOAR Hinagiku. orz

Cuz my Hina’s got angel eyes~
Well, actually they’re kinda of feline… reminds me a bit of tsun tsun Tama-nee…

MEN!

Loved Nagi’s comment to Himuro that there was no way that Hinagiku would lose to a guy like Azumamiya. And no way she’s gonna lose to a girl like you too!!

Just had a thought. What if Hayate was butler and Hinagiku was butler/meido to Nagi? And Hinagiku treats Nagi less gently than Hayate but just slightly less roughly than Himuro or Nonohara in relation to their ‘masters’.
Ah, if only we had a scene like this every episode…

How about we train/study together?

Ah, that trick always works! :)

Hayate’s devotion to Nagi is actually one of his charm points. Gah.

Dere dere!

Nagi, you are Not Ready. For Kendo.

I can already see the Bamboo Blade cross-overs!

Main chara in the middle!
kitto kitto mou mayowanai /
hitomi wa ima anata dake o miteru~~~ [After the Rain, Angelic Layer 2nd ED]

Hayate, you can be such a pussy sometimes!

Bye bye!
More Hinagikuism in manga Vol.8 (hopefully) soon!

16 was one of my favorite episodes! I thought the show started going downhill a bit after about 17 or 18, but then got better around 27. There were some good moments in there, but I remember being a lot less interested in the series around those episodes. Interestingly, there was a lot less Hina-chan in those episodes… I’m not sure whether or not that was the main reason for my dwindling enjoyment at the time, but it probably was a factor. :D
deftoned: I think it’s more how they made a hash of the manga, which pulled along all the character introductions and development quite nicely. After Ep 27 or so, they’d completely abandoned their attempts to retell the manga in favor for stories ‘inspired by’ (see Ep 37) or just are more original and hilarious (like the ComiKet parody).
