But it also got me thinking comparatively. Takaaki is a genuinely nice guy and he's not chasing after any of the girls - which is partly why I'm slightly disappointed - the development of character relationships in the OVAs has been very thin. The only real treatment for me was, ironically, the Konomi arc in the TV series. Adun, another interesting effect of the OVAs seems to have been to bring out the charm of some of the female characters very strongly - in my case, Tama-nee in the first OVA ep.
