Takaaki and School President Sasara attempt to cope with Maryan’s extensive interference in the organization of the school festival. Sasara *surprise surprise* likes Takaaki and tries to get closer to him but is discouraged by the cameos put on by the various girls in his harem. But all’s well that ends well, they do the folk dance at the bonfire (off camera) and some semblance of normality is reasserted for the actual festival.
I didn’t even bother to blog about the second episode of the OVA firstly because I lost the file during my previous laptop went kaput in August but also because I was seriously underwhelmed by the animation quality. The OVA was much better quality than the TV series but the swimsuit/beach episode just lacked a certain oomph. It wasn’t Cabbage Love by any stretch of the imagination but bishoujo game chara + beach + bikini just raised the bar of my expectations a tad too high.
I guess the ideal hontou ni episode would be a catfight tug of war OVA between the loli-imouto DFC temptation of Konomi and the hawt oneesama all-woman power of Tama-nee. But alas they just had to have an Ilfa first ep, a Manaka second ep and a Sasara third episode. Yare yare.

I liked all three episodes, but I think the second OVA episode was my favorite–that was entirely due to Ikuno, though (and having the cast in swimsuits didn’t hurt either ^^) I guess the To Heart 2 Another Day OVAs are supposed to come out early next year, hopefully they’ll be fun to watch too.
I never took interest in Sasara in To Heart 2, until I watched episode 3 of the OVA. Definitely a character that I like, but still, can’t beat Tama-nee in a neko outfit.
suguru, I just couldn’t help but mistakenly read the OVA title as To Heart 2 School Days for a moment. :P My bad. But it also got me thinking comparatively. Takaaki is a genuinely nice guy and he’s not chasing after any of the girls - which is partly why I’m slightly disappointed - the development of character relationships in the OVAs has been very thin. The only real treatment for me was, ironically, the Konomi arc in the TV series.
Adun, another interesting effect of the OVAs seems to have been to bring out the charm of some of the female characters very strongly - in my case, Tama-nee in the first OVA ep. But I kinda had a predisposition in that respect anyway. LOL
Can’t agree more bro. I’d love to see how the lolicious Konomi trounces Tama-nee. Do the right thing Takaaki! XD
