Envy. Yeah, that’s a Se7en reference to the ending with the special delivery.
Just to add two more notes. First, agree completely with Kabitzin’s love of SD’s trashy dorama and jpmeyer’s point about it wildly succeeds in deconstructing the harem genre.
Second, just as Evangelion uses Imperial Japanese Navy ships for surnames and Nanoha uses car models, SD’s characters uses surnames from previous Japanese Prime Ministers with the three main characters using genro surnames.
Huh. I did get this vibe from the very beginning that This Ain’t Yer Daddy’s Harem Show (as it were), but it would appear I had no idea to quite what degree…
My sin is wrath. I can understand Otome getting a pass in this morality play, but I was somewhat disappointed to see nothing happen to Taisuke, Setsuna and Otome’s three “Pick On Katsura” friends.
Question: is it considered wrath to constantly think, “Where the *@(% are the parents during this entire mess?” repeatedly? Or is it just a show, and I should really just relax?
Ending. Lots of game-to-anime adaptations have a lot of problems tying the diverse threads together, a notable recent exception being SHUFFLE! but School Days really takes the cake - even most of the good endings are woven into the Ultimate Bad End!
Otome. Was surprised that she was Nerine’s seiyuu! I find her ponytail makes her so hawt too. :P
Absent parents. I dunno, my parents were always away since I was in middle school so it didn’t seem that strange to me…
The only consolation is that I’ve avoided Makoto’s BAD END so far. Though I did get slashed across the palms while trying to fend off some crazy girl with a box cutter. Ouch. Gotta learn Kotonoha’s mad disarming skillz.
I have no idea where you’re going with this…but I’m intrigued nonetheless.
He bags more than seven girls too… hmmm. Are you referring to the head in a bag/box?

OMG Zyl, you are living the anime life! Shouldn’t you be bagging like every girl in a 50 mile radius?
If I was, I wouldn’t be envious. ;_;
