The weather on the flight into Tokyo was beautiful. Mt Fuji was clearly visible amidst a scattering of low cloud but I had packed my camera in my check-in luggage so no photo. Haiz. Airport bus into central Tokyo was 1 hour 40 minutes, thankfully traffic was smooth. With my stop being the terminal stop, I was the only person on the bus after the penultimate stop; I kept thinking the driver might burst into Danzen Futari wa Pretty Cure at any moment. ;)
While reacquainting myself with the neighbourhood around the service apartment, I discovered that the Meguro branch of Anna Millers has been replaced by a Citibank branch. Oh noes, I will have to go a surviving branch for my meido-served bottomless coffee fix. Well, at least there’s an ATM nearby to draw cash for buying anime goods.
And the free broadband in my room is a sweet 100 mbs. Much faster than what I’m used to back in our glorious democratic people’s island paradise republik. But just when I thought I could say: I’m in ur country, watching ur animez, it turns out that I can’t receive Chiba TV (Lucky Star at midnight tonight!). orz I can’t believe I’m in the Land of the Anime Shows and I am still relying on moyism for my anime fix. orz
Tomorrow, Akiba!
