The big screen is the added spice of Paprika! Spicy is the sound of the voice who said “…” to Dragooooooon SLAVE! No tying down the bright smile, light-footed, fancy-free woman set against the cold, harsh, terrible beauty of the winter sky scientist! Since when can science and technology tell the heart what to feel or who is a part of who? Oh the heart groans fonder absence makes it flutter higher! Raising my raging heart pure my heart for the leading ladies I heart the movie! The series of images trip the light fantastical through wonder and madness! A Madhouse animates a dollhouse showcase strutting its stuff in a parade! My shoulders march to the rhythm of the parade! The parade procession winds its way through the story on the screens on the screen in the screen of my mind of my mind’s eye! The apple of my eye the worm nibbling a bite that reveals like desire unhidden! I love you Paprika! I love you Atsuko Chiba! Welcome back to the Megumi Hayashibara!!
Nice work with the brainwash-style write-up! Someone should write a translator program to automatically turns sentences into nonsensical DCMini-speak :) Paprika was a crazy mindtrip, even on a small screen. I wish I had seen it on a giant movie theater, though that might have left my mind addled for a week or so.
Thanks, Ender! I would recommend reading this entry against the OST track of Parade (Instrumental). :P
Paprika was a pretty seductive movie - I think most of the audience either fell for Paprika or Atsuko, like Konakawa or Osanai. ;) The theatre I went to see it at wasn’t that big but it was still a great experience. There were movie goers who stayed all the way right to the end of the credits so that we could listen to the music.
Ah yes, the great Megumi. It was wonderful hearing her again in a leading role after such a long time - even though I only realized it was her near the end of the movie.
I loved the movie, and Antsuko. SPOILERS AHEAD: ▼ Show
