Lucky ☆ Star 11

Don’t chew on your chopsticks!

Pressing Kagami’s diet button.

Ato go fun, hontou ni… Tsukasa is the ROTFLMAO. Another candidate phrase for another blog in the Hontou Ni empire!

Not quite waiting for Godot though.

Farmers 4TW.

Interesting contrast in the art styles. That guy must be a gaijin because a Japanese oyaji would have been delighted instead of disturbed! LOL

What amazes me about this scene is that Konata could reach the handle…

Gah, I’m definitely more towards Konata’s end of the spectrum. Four hours is a lot of studying for a day. orz

Onee POWAH 4TW.

The horror! The guilt!

Daddy’s little girl!

Misao and Ayano!

A Boyfriend false alarm!

Which do you prefer? Santa Claus or Miko cosplay? While I’m not Christian, I tend to think of non-Christian brides who want to have a white wedding (in a proper church conducted by a real priest) as cosplayers…

Reminded me of that snitch in The Mummy. But also of that Kamichu episode where Matsuri was battling against Christmas.

Konata’s martial arts moves were pretty slick. I now really believe that she beat up that foreigner when she first met Tsukasa. Also her skillz r so l33t that she doesn’t panty-flash when she kicks.

Another great Kagami comeback.

And total yuri bait.

Konata and Tsukasa should combine their scores. The Blockheads are victorious once again!

Little Girl’s Daddy.

Kuroi-sensei FIGHTO!

Itai! Itai! Itai! LOL Meself, I’ve never encountered this static electricity problem during winter in London. But then again, like Konata, I also spend even more time in front of a computer. -_-;;

heheh…I spend most of my time in front of the computer too…and i never encountered a static shock before….wonder if its a good sign or not?

Good catch with Konata’s reaching the handle on the train, totally didn’t even notice anything wierd with that. Must have found one with an extra 2 feet of length, lewl. Pretty funny ep with all the stuff about Santa!

Konata and Tsukasa should combine their scores. The Blockheads are victorious once again!

I’m not sure that will help them win in all of Miyuki’s… spheres of influence.

I am rooting for poor Nanako. The thing with the old Christmas cakes on sale was hilarious. Can it be so hard for a 27-year-old cute blonde girl gamer to find love?

Konota’s kick reminds me of you can pull out a tablecloth from under some dishes without knocking everything over. It requires that level of quickness and skillz. Some might even say it is magic.

Doraemon ending was EPIC. I had TEARS OF NOSTALGIA in my eyes when I heard it.

Static shock is one of the banes of my existence here in Michigan, especially since nobody warned me about it. I quickly learned to use my keys to ground myself before touching anything metal.

Static electricity…I remember working in Las Vegas and getting a thousand-volt shock without fail every time I opened my car door. You could probably power that whole city with static electricity, neon lights and all.

Cutest thing this episode had to be blushing miko Kagami ^^

My mind internally cheered at Doraemon ending. Like…every brain cell just applauded.

I just noticed that Konata basically self-depreciated when she called the Farmer line, since she called Miyuki refined for being an “inbounder” (probably meaning city folk). At least she had the sense to comfort Nanako when she saw her on the MMO on Christmas Eve.

I wonder if they have kiddie handles in Japanese subways. That whole picture looked so cute.

Santa Konata > Miko Kagami. Martial Arts Konata > Nasty Kagami. They should have a standard non-4koma episode depicting her mad ninja skillz.

  7. 7 Watchman

For some reason I get the impression Kuroi-sensei is at times almost a sort of surrogate “big sister” to Konata.

  8. 8 Claies

@Watchman: *gasp* Izumi Sochirou x Kuroi Nanako! Konata finally has a family! Woohoo!

  9. 9 du5k

Lol, the funny part about the static electricty scene…

    Kagami: Ohh!
    Tsukasa: Ohh!
    Miyuki: Ohh!
    Kagami: No!
    Konata: Yes!
    Konata’s dad: STROOONGER!!!!

then again, Konata’s probably short enough to earth straight away… (lol doesnt nake sense)

Ya, I was thinking it was a bit funny how she’s able to reach the train handle. She probably just have a big head making her look short.

Wonder how many over 20 males in the world suddenly started singing or humming the Doraemon song during the past 7 days.

    >>> I tend to think of non-Christian brides who want to have a white wedding (in a proper church conducted by a real priest) as cosplayers…

There was a time in my life when I was one of the wedding singers every weekend. The pay was good ( $20/hr Free lunch and dinner at the wedding receptions in some of the best restaurants in downtown Seoul ) and I did get to see many grooms and brides who would qualify as cosplayer in your view. You might see me wearing Monk’s garb as substitute for the Choir robe in those weddings, thus may claim me cosplaying as well, making the whole wedding, a cosplay wedding. ( however, I did get to wear some official monk’s robe to sing Gregorian Chant Solo in front of a Real Cardinal ( Cardinal Kim of Korea ) for some important Catholic religious services )

Can it be so hard for a 27-year-old cute blonde girl gamer to find love?

Kabitzin, assuming that description is not an oxymoron… ;)

Suguru vs Claies on Santa Konata vs miko Kagami - round one, fight! :)

Watchman & Claies, not sure if Konata would be totally thrilled with step-mom Nanako - esp if it means that her galgames and h-manga will get banned!!

maglor, needz MOAR anime themes for weddings!! Stripey, fighto!

  12. 12 Watchman

I doubt Nanako could ever get desperate enough to start seriously considering Izumi “Creepy Lolicon” Souichirou an option. Just observing that she sometimes seems to act as a sort of “concerned big sister” figure for Konata is all, and Konata seems to treat her as such to a certain degree.

More on the conjecture side it could be theorized Nanako’s a sort of subconscious surrogate mother-figure for Konata, who after all essentially grew up without one. Wonder if Konata vaguely reminds her of her own youth…?
