Certainly the central dynamic is that Ikuto actively resists all the girls who want to marry for their own reasons and Suzu is the exception. My personal preference is that the various girls grow to like Ikuto for who he is (rather than just because he is the only penis on the island) and this has a positive effect on Ikuto's aversion against them (e.g. in the last chapter of Vol.2 btw him and Rin) which, in turn, spurs Ikuto x Suzu development. The pacing now is ok but there's surprisingly little romantic tension for a harem series and...

as askho points out, the deterioration in the quality of the art is worrying.</description>
