Bad Behaviour, Refractory Period & Notice of Scheduled Downshift

Firstly, I’ve just added another layer of anti-spam protection. Just in case there are any teething problems such as having your comments eaten or being unable to view the site, please let me know via email (on the about page) or via Stripey’s blog.

Secondly, I’m not terribly enthused to blog anything in the coming season. Certainly The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya came out of nowhere to rock my world but I doubt I’m going to be as surprised with any of the new offerings. An anime refractory period perhaps? For now, I’m most looking forward to the final episode of MoHS and the finale scene. Also to rewatch it in the “correct” order so as to compare it with the TV release order: I’ve been somewhat bemused at all the complaining about the shuffling of episode order because, while perfectly valid impressions, these gripes are being made on the basis of an incomplete data set.

Other plans include Yayaism posts for StoPani, completing the retro-blog of PPD! and scouting out further Koyuki x Natsumi moments in Keroro Gunso.

Which leads me to the third note, I’ll be travelling and/or without reliable access to broadband and BitTorrent from around the first week of August to the first week of September so the blog might go into hibernation during those four to five weeks.

Oh, and refractory period or not, Ama is still one seriously hot MILF.

If you would be so kind to tell me the source of that Ama picture….

    pwease?

It’s probably from the SHUFFLE! artbook - I pulled it off danbooru.

Eh-to… I only have one anime from the Summer2006 that I am waiting for, and that is Coyote Ragtime Show.

I badly want my fix of cute psychotic girls, and CRS seems to have them in SPADES. :D Mmm… kawaii…

Prays to the Anime Gods that it will not become a flop. *prays* *prays* *prays*

NHK( is it NHK? I keep mixing it up with NKF…), Tsyu-Tsuk-ah… that Tsundere show, and Honey & Clover 2 seem to be the most hyped-up shows so far, but they do not fall into my preferred genres. I will try them out of course, but I ain’t exactly hopping for them.

I also hope to watch more undiscovered gems from Summer2006, like how I did with Black Lagoon and TMoSH from Spring2006.

    Cheers. :)

Oh, and while I agree Ama is hot, Kaede holds my heart for “Shuffle!” Y(^_^)Y

Everyone says that they aren’t interested but ends up watching everything. I’m not judging anytime from the previews. Just watching the first ep of everything then I’ll decide.

First I get pulled for work, then Miao goes vacationing, now you. Strange. Err…gotta run duty calls.

  6. 6 Stripey

Feel free to make my place your adhoc throne-room for running the Hontou-ni empire when in Sg…. for the right fee of course… MWAHAHAHAHA!!

*hears a strange whirling up in orbit*

I always choose only one or two shows to start on my own, and wait for recommendations from various blog communities. To compensate for the lack of initiative, I never make a decision on an anime series until I see 3 episodes: If it fails to impress me by that point, there is something fundamentally wrong with its directions, and very unlikely to come to a reasonable conclusion.

Ama~! Now I have to go find more pictures of her and Asa~

    Kareha is superior~

It’s not in the Shuffle artbooks I have… but DAMN. Between her and Aki Hinata, or Nancy from ROD…

I’m hoping that H&C 2 lives up to the promise that H&C Season 1 implied it might have, although outside of that and Chokotto Sister, which I’m following to see how closely they stick to the manga… there’s not much of interest in the following season. I don’t think you’re alone in the lack of desire to blog more than a cursory amount of the next season’s worth of shows; there doesn’t seem to be MUCH to get excited about.

btw, what does MILF stands for?

once in a while, i end up watching everything. Then i go back to the drawing board and ask and tell myself a few things:
    1. your disk space is running out dude
    2. hot chicks?
    3. which series kept u grinning most of the time almost right from the start?
    4. got exercise today?
    5. tutorial, revision, guitar practise?

yeah, i’m not watching ouran high school cos it sounds so gay.
*proceeds to finish watching 9 episodes in 1 night*

    “Yes. Innocence.”

Pity these rebels then… I can imagine the ulcers newspaper editors get when they need to publish about them. :P

Thanks, Skane. Corrupting innocent minds is good. (;^_^)

In any case, acronym finder is a pretty useful site as well.

its ok, i’m beyond salvation that even the gods weep, lol.

  16. 16 Zyl

Ama pic source: might be an artbook “Navel All Stars”? Does anyone know anything more about this?

  17. 17 Haesslich

No idea - I don’t have that particular book, Zyl.

crimson: The acronym came into popular use thanks to “American Pie”, where two guys were looking at a photo of Stifler’s mother… played by Jennifer Coolidge.
