The Sanfransiscon of Stripey II (hnKd 1/2006)

I was a bitty bit surprised that a few readers seem prepared to take past 3koma as literal truth. While any resemblance to living persons and real events is completely intentional, it’s rather like a politician’s autobiography - equal parts of exaggeration and economy with the truth. However this 3koma is particularly special to me because it gives a rough history of that Magikano post. It also celebrates the community element in crowning the King of Siscon and, thus, is dedicated to Ender of the Sea Slugs! Team for his pioneering effort in discussing the Sanfransiscon of Stripey.

So Maika was the breaking point of his habits, behold how the age requirement has been lowered

Why is Stripey a tanuki anyway? I read the wiki, but don’t want ot draw conclusions. Also is that Nemu in the first panel?

  2. 2 Kabitzin

Haha, I love the drawings of Stripey with insomnia! Do you do these drawings with a calligraphy pen? I took Chinese calligraphy for years and never once thought to use it as a comic medium.

Wah bro episode reshuffling again? Will you be releasing the DVDs in the right order? :)

    Lol. This is good stuff.

Well, Stripey probably loved Fate/Stay Night’s ‘onii-chan’ moments as well. :D Ilya’s such a dangerous opponent, especially when she turns on the siscon generator… which did catch Emiya Shirou, no matter WHAT he might say about it later. One moment she tries to kill him, and the next moment he’s protecting her: it HAS to be a siscon thing, especially with how she glomps him and calls him big-brother.

Whoa, freaky coincidence - I was just in San Francisco yesterday. Your psychic prowess is improving, as well as your pun-skills!

Crusader, on Stripey’s avatar - see his favicon (esp the tail). I’ll leave it to him to explain his choice of avatar if he so wishes. And yes, that’s Nemu.

Stripey, I’m still having some reservations on TSFS1… need to think it through a bit more. ;)

Kabitzin, I’m using a calligraphy brush rather than a calligraphy pen. I used Chinese ink brush painting because they’re the only art supplies I have and the medium that I had any education in - though my shifu would prob puke blood if she saw these. -_-;; And thanks - it’s really an honour to know a real artist enjoys this 3koma. :D

tj_han86, thanks!! :) I so love having my not inconsiderably sized ego stroked. I also like to use double negatives. LOL

Haesslich, which reminds me - must find that parody which makes fun of Shirou’s siscon causing him to take Ilya in.

Ender - There is no such thing as coincidence. There is only hitsuzen! ;) The punmaster will always be Kabitzin though. And I can’t claim credit for that particular pun as I got it from one of my commenters, T_I.

You’re looking for this one, right?

    …Onii-chan…

  9. 9 Zyl

Haesslich, yes - that’s the one. Thanks! :) And I’ve done a bit of editing to merge your three tries.

    This is incredibly hilarious stuff.

    Oh God the punnage.

Thanks, Zyl - the first time I saw that parody.. I had to save it. And so, it gets posted anew. Still… seriously, why else would Shirou keep the Psycho Loli about the house with him? He’s got a siscon complex, and I suspect he MAY have had a sister… who didn’t survive the fire from the previous Holy Grail War, so he’s sorta adopted Sakura as one, which explains why he takes advantage of her cooking for him each morning… and why Ilya had such an easy time getting his attention. :D

Want to bet that the main reason Taiga-nee moved Ilya in with her was to keep Ilya out of Shirou’s futon? Either him dragging her there, or taking advantage of her propensity for sneaking into his room?
