A big thanks to Stripey and morit for their generosity! I’m so looking forward to unpacking this baby when I return to our glorious democratic people’s island republic in Aug. Although she’s not wearing that lovely pink miniskirt, her “standing proud after battle” pose and her pilot suit show off her curves in the best possible manner. The unzipped front, just enough but not too much, is also an excellent touch. Many figurines fall short with the respect to the face and facial expression but am relieved to say that, from the photo, she looks very cute.

No prizes for guessing that I voted for “character” as most important criteria for figurine procurement in the current RIUVA poll. So far I’ve only bought Lunamaria-related figurines (as well as a 1/100 gunpla of her Gunner Zaku Warrior) but the most recent addition is just the sweetness.

Not much of a token of appreciation… the Chinese equivalent of bad three-year-old stick figure drawing and writing. Even got the katakana wrong for Stripey (should have been ストライピ). Paiseh! And thanks again, guys!
*so jealous*
Still waiting on my copy which I’ll hopefully receive in the next 2-3 weeks ;_;
Cheh! But I’m very curious why you are so obsessed with her.
You are most welcome bro! As mentioned earlier, I’m not going figure-induced financial ruin alone. :) And I didn’t know they teach Zaku art in calligraphy classes. Nice work!
Hey! Drawing Zakus aren’t that hard! I drew it’s head once.
And the body looks a little like a GOUF, btw.
In various states of undress.. well, sort of. I can’t wait til I receive mine from the mail.
Moy, I’m actually separated from the figurine by a distance of about 13,000 km and the pics are via Stripey, in whose striped paws, are my entire figurine collection.
tj_han86, actually I’m not really sure either. I really enjoyed her pursuit of Athrun in the first half of GSD and it helps that Maaya Sakamoto did a good job but none of this can fully account for my obsession. And the ONLY reason I watched GSD to the end was to see if she would survive.
Stripey, the way I buy figurines and the way you buy figurines is very different. Unless they start producing a huge quantity of gorgeous Lunamaria figurines, I think my purchase volume will always be lower than yours. :P
DrmChsr0, you’re right - the articulated construction of a Zaku lends itself to easy drawing. The problem with Chinese ink brush is that if you screw up, there’s no way to repair it. Even with line art from a Keroro screenshot as a model to work from, I still only managed to produce this rather awful painting after three attempts.
you’re welcome! :) the calligraphy, i like! it helps that i can read a little kanji now haha.
