Chinese-style wedding dinners can be such a drag. Hordes of very distant relatives and colleagues you don’t even know, same old routine, same old menu, same old venue types, same old red packet tax. However otaku could do have friends-only wedding bashes in real anime style: Kiss the earring and have a Meister Otome ring ceremony? There’ll even be a huge world changing organ with the song, player and protector to play the march-in! Instead of that white wedding dress, how about a meidofuku? The bride can even say: “Kore wa watashi no anata!?” Unless of course said bride is marrying her brother, then it’s “Nii-san.” For the right price, Hontou ni Kekkon desu Wedding Planners will arrange it to your fanboy specifications! Pool cleaning episode in which Ichijou’s little sister with her “Pui!” and sketchpad is introduced. A great excuse to see the cast in the classic blue school swimsuit with the white name tag on the chest. Ichijou, being Ichijou, has a special pink version. And still drinks tea in a Shizuru-like way. Continue reading ‘Pani Poni Dash! 7′

The Miyamoto Research Lab episode. Becky gets her own private office to be herself in, Himeko fantasizes about her experiments and a whole bunch of stuff happens, particularly with respect to that monster-laden trapdoor in the ceiling. Watanuki of the Intelligence Club falls foul of that later in the episode - and with Ichijou’s assistance, jumps from the frying pan into the fire after the end credits. School camping trip episode consisting of several threads that somehow managed to get weaved together. There’s the Becky-Kurumi group, the search for kappa and missiles by Serizawa and Miyako respectively, Rei’s Chinese cooking and Class Representative Ichijou’s rainmaking. Becky springs a next-day test surprise on her class. Their overnight study session inevitably becomes a pajama party. We finally get a chara-stats intro to Igarashi-sensei whom I liked immediately because she is a drunk and a disillusioned teacher. Nowhere as wacky as Yukari Tanizaki but seems to have similar emotional scars regarding her profession. Completely unlike Minamo Kurosawa (Nyamo - whom I think is about as badly damaged as Yukari but hides it better most of the time) in terms of characterisation but has got a similar feel in terms of being a character that could be a real person.
